Those brown and red RL joints up there with the crepe sole are sick, but a crepe sole in the sleet/ice/snow is the WORST.

Some of my favorite boots of all time are these Vasque Sundowners on the left.

The goretex (ones on the right) already released, Timberland Superboots aka 40 belows (two in the middle) release late November & the World Hikers (first from the left) release later this month.

To the best of what I know, the pair I have is the original Timberland Iditarod Superboot from 1987. From what the seller and I were

talking about, he explained that this pair was sold at Abercrombie & Fitch back then when they sold true outdoorsmen apparel . .

(I could be wrong though maybe some Timberland expert could chime in )

The only difference is that my pair has three padded leather collars verses this pair releasing that has two.

Even then now, folks in NY aren't wearing the non-leather timbs anymore.
