Kobe/Jordan identical plays....vol. uncanny

How is it uncanny? Dude obsessed over being like Mike. Michael revolutionized the game.

Everytime I enter these kind of threads I always wonder what would it be like if Kobe was born first.

He'd copy Dr .J .

Mj, kareem, d wilkins, iverson, tmac,
Vince and even lebron have their
Significant playing style.
But when u ask me about kobe,
i cannot tell u about a sig move
Of him. Just that most moves he did
Were copies from mj.
And during the slam dunk contest 1997,
kobe did not invented any new dunks
And instead copied the JR Rider dunk.
kobe is a great player, but he will end up
As the player who tried to copy jordan.

nice video op

but ppl need to stop with this whole thing. of course kobe grew up watching mj and like everyone else they try to do the thing they see in their backyard. though kobe just mastered it better than anyone else and did his work when it came to that.

so ppl stop when they say he is a wanna be mike!

Honestly, aside from the tongue stuff (pause), I am rpetty sure you could do the same with Rudy Gay, Mike Finley, and Vince Carter.

are these just the same plays with Tex Winter's triangle offense coached by Phil Jackson with the Bulls, then with the Lakers?

The problem with Kobe is dude doesn't care .. He's still trying to do moves that he does (which he was good at) 4- 5 years ago in terms of crossover, driving in traffic , etc.. which causes more harm (to the team) than good due to his age.. He's more effective coming off screen or when he focus just punishing defenders down on the post.. maybe it was just lack of PG play that he's trying to do so much all the time. Unlike MJ, He's great at picking his spots and just unstoppable on the mid-range area..

With Nash on board, i'm interested to see how Kobe's game will change..

This was pretty cool, although I dont think its a matter of copying but rather two people with very similar playstyles playing in the same offense.

No. Not with fadeaways anyway.. they look exactly the same
No nothing. All of the dudes I named are faders. Go look back at film. If someone had the time I am 400% sure it could easily be done with any of them.

I personally don't see Kobe and Jordan's stuff looking exactly the same. Just fadeaways honestly. But it is Kobe and we are going to force the issue.

I agree with DC. It's just a bunch of fade aways. You could do it with T-Mac as well I think.

Passing off somebody else's work as your own.............nah we can't co-sign that champ. Most institutions/organizations will toss you out if your accused and found guilty of plagiarism, so with that in mind Kobe is very fortunate he's even made it this far doing what he's doing. Kobe's a great player, but at the end of the day as a basketball player he doesn't have his OWN identity.

Dudes saying you could do the same with other so called elite guards...please show me a video.

Because I watched all those dudes play, and none of them were compared to Money.

So everything MJ has ever done was original...ok?

More importantly why does it bother or matter at all, two guys almost exactly the same measurements body wise, playing in the exact same offense, coached by the exact same head coach and offensive architect; and yet you clowns expect a totally different deviation when the blueprint was there for success. Just asinine and petty to me. MJ's accomplishments are set in stone and undeniable; but to diminish Bean's greatness as nothing else but a "plagiarism" or "copycat" is just silly. If Bean was the one who came first, would MJ be the copycat even with his same accomplishments/abilities?

Kobe's style of basketball always reminds me the way Jordan played, their fadeaways are spot on. of course MJ might be Kobe's fav player so it's only right for him to show respect to one of the greatest that ever played the sport

More original than Kobe that's for dam sure, and with a username such as yours, you my friend are and should be automatically disqualified from participating in this thread.

THIS.

The only not so original thing by MJ was his cradle dunk which was already in fashion before he entered the league.
The foul line dunk was already done by Dr. J, but it was MJ who made it look so graceful by the way he flies
to the basket.
MJ made use of many pumpfakes and put the fade away jumper to another level. Also his hangtime allowed him
to change his shot in the very last second while he is in mid air.

So more original means he did take parts of other players that came before him and incorporate them into his game correct? So to use your analogy instead of copying word for word the term paper (as you claim Kobe did) he just forgot to cite some of the paragraphs correctly (MJ)? Name me a player that has played or currently played any sport that hasn't incorporated or tried to incorporate what the greats did into their games.

And the old "your screename means you can't talk about a subject" is just tired, champ. We're all or at least most of us adults, and can articulate and discuss an argument.
