[:: BIG SEAN Thread | 'I DECIDED' Album 2/3/17 | Cover Pg.13 ::]

Y
Can't deny Ashley?  I just did.  I don't like it.
You probably never been in a real long term relationship

Dated a girl on and off for 7 years with other chicks in between.

I can relate to the subject matter.  And I agree this album is Sean rapping at his best.

I just don't like the way the song sounds.  shrug.  personal preference.

Album is nice. Detroit is waaaaayyy better though.

I kinda like MILF

10 2 10, Toyota Music, First Chain, Mona Lisa, World Ablaze. I love those joints off of 1st listen. I gotta give the other tracks some more plays.

Mula remix is bars full of struggle, they dead *** made French Montana look great

Album is sold tho

Only including tracks 1-15 for my review.

Might be the only one who finds freaky hilarious
It's time is probably my least favorite track
That or first chain(because the beat)

:smh:

Album is super weak. What a joke. I haven't really messed with anything since that FF2 mixtape. Didn't like Vol 3, debut album or this joint. Detroit had a few joints. He can rap but his albums suck

This album sounds like a remix to Detroit. I can't stand when this guy only goes hard on his standout songs (Fire, First chain, World ablaze,) then makes lazy tracks like (milf, mona lisa, beware ).

OK for now. Maybe it'll grow on me. The production is hard as nails though.

This. Half of the album is good, but half is so awful to me. I honestly think I might like his first album more than this :nerd:. Detroit was :smokin though.

I honestly was expecting big things with this album. He's been killing his features since Mercy, and Detroit was one of my favorite mixtapes of 2012. I need an album with more songs like Nothing Is stopping you, fire, figured out, once bitten, twice shy, etc... and less Dance, Milf, Beware, etc....

I don't mind "Beware" for what it is.  Every lower tier rapper has one radio friendly chick song.  It's basically a requirement if you want to succeed.  **** my band didn't even get any attention on HERE til we dropped a track called "#1 Girl".

I think where he loses people is when he does unforgiveable **** like "Freaky"+"MILF" right after a track featuring Nas where youre talking about finally succeeding and getting your first chain. Like what was he thinking?  Who on his team co signed that ********?

I'm sorry but in 2013 "Freaky" is unforgivable.  You got ****** like Kendrick practically tearing at your jugular on your own song and you're out here doing skits about banging old women in the middle of your album? If he flops he has no one to blame but himself.

Freaky was pretty funny and the song milf has a point to it. I get it.
Mona Lisa is stuck in my head. But a lot of these songs are personal and do touch on things which I can appreciate.

His first album definitely isn't better than this IMO

But honestly I don't know what some of you guys be expecting with these tailor made album expectations.

He definitely shows growth, gives you vulnerability and keeps a consistent job of getting a message/subject across in each song. Which is something rare for an artist on a Major label.

I'm not saying its the best thing ever but it is a great body of work and I didn't even really really like sean a lot until Detroit. He has shown major growth through out his career. Happy for the kid

Again I'm only judging tracks 1-15 and I honestly think he did his thing, don't think the album "falls off" at any point

After my first listen its aiight. Myabe it'll grow on me some more. Best song to me is You Dont Know. Finally Famous 3>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Doubt he will ever top that.

I don't see how you can be disappointed, my expectations were low to begin.

Haven't really listened to the second half of the album (honestly)

Detroit is leaps & bounds ahead of this though although I like this for what it was.

I think for me... after I saw that video he made to explain all the tracks, my expectations became high. Then I heard fire by accident before the full album and I started to hope that it wasnt one of the best tracks on the album (I like Fire alot btw). So to me I was let down in both aspects.

Like Rusty said its an easy listen. That's about it for me. I'd rather listen to Detroit

very solid album :smokin

i can pretty much play this album straight through, with the exceptions of mona lisa, freaky, MILF, & the mula remix... those got cut right away

some notes:

-first chain was everything i hoped for... nas once again destroys his feature, sean was good, & cudi went in on his verse & his harmonizing throughout the track was great like always. the damage this is about to do to my replay button :x
-world ablaze & ashley are such deep tracks... i've always been a fan of when sean is on that type of vibe with his music. miguel did the damb thing too.
-10 2 10 SLAPS :x :x :nthat:
-james fauntleroy delivered big time throughout this project... the usage of his vocals whether on the hook or when he was just doing backup were a nice touch on every track. i feel like not just with this album, but whenever he gets features, he's always a good addition to a track.
-no i.d. always consistent :smh: :smokin

Wow, very disappointed. Heard the whole album yesterday. HORRIBLE. literally only liked 1 track...First Chain. THAT'S IT.

the intro was nice after that it was all down hill :smh:
the mixtape was decent
idk why this album is so horrible

Don't care for the whole album but Nothing Is Stopping You has to be one of the best intro tracks I've heard in a good lil minute. This album could really be up there if he just cut out filler, but as a whole product, nah man.

Intro is all I have kept in on repeat and honestly woulda been better if he went in like the intro to Detroit but owell I am convinced his mixtapes will always be better but FFTA >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>HOF

Album is exactly what I thought it would be.

I thought his debut was a tad better executed, though (No I.D.?).

Big Sean is Big Sean.

Very limited substance, but cool to chill/vibe to...

And I actually like "MILF".

The album is great.....the only flaws is that dip called "Freaky" and then MILF right after. It's just too much for me, b. I feel like I'm listening to this dude smash the mom from Good Times. MILF the song grew on me after a few listens, but Freaky is just trash.
