Air Jordan 5 Retro 'Fire Red' 2013 Vol: No 23

Looking forward to these. I'm actually hoping the black/metallic silver V's come back yet again next year, but without the 23. I'm also hoping for some OG styled V apparel like we've seen this past month with the current IV apparel. I figure since JB has bought back all the OG IV colorways during the 23 year anniversary of the IV's, they can do the same next year for the V 's. And if by chance the black/metallics come back and flop, hey, more for me. LOL.

Yeah they do look off, i still got a DS pair of CDP's so ill be passing anyway.

And why did u miss out the 2011 retros?
the only bad thing about the 2011 retros
Was tge use of the suede instead of stickng
To the durabuck from 2000 and 2006.
the ogs,were also durabuck, whch however
Turned shiny after aging.

Exactly what I've been wondering. The metallics are the only OG black colorway, so it's pretty much their only option unless they come out with a new colorway. If they come out again they'd have to use dura buck, otherwise why would people get them again?

I passed on the 2011s because I had the 2006 retro. I just had to retire them though so I'm really regretting it.

To release two years later after a GR, not too sure they would do that.

i was thinking the same thing as well. i had the '07s but i just couldn't go with the '23' stitching just because i prefer a 'consistent look' around the shoe. if these should happen to release again, i'm hoping for a version without the '23'. my guess would be the laneys, but i would not mind the carolina/university blues that came out back in '06.

i'm usually on the fence with Vs. i've always liked the look, but those minor things like yellowing and the stitching throw me off. i thought i was gonna go on hiatus after the supposed IIIs coming out next year. this sneaker business man. :smh: :lol:

The patent leather on the independence day 5s made me so mad I didn't cop. Patent leather looks so hideous creased and it was right in the toe box >:

I don't know why you guys act like they didn't retro in August of last year.. I walked in around 1pm on RD and copped my size easy peasy from the smallest store in the mall. Those were slept on and are :smokin in person.


Those were the good days.. right before the Concord madness. :smh:
 
They don't look awful, but something looks off, more pictures will probably do it more justice and I'll prolly cop.
 
Best Jordan silhouette IMO.

All V's will be copped. These will be no exception. Black sole with the silver tongue.

^ Early pics always look crazy, and people who actually think that's how the shoe's gonna look on release day make me laugh. It's entertainment really.
