^ @sunshineblotters they are not "white metallics" because there is no metallic in the colorway. The scotchlite is not the reason that black/metallics are called that...it's referring to the color of the "shark teeth".

and to stay on topic. ive gotten used to the "23" on the sides... which is one of the reasons I recently traded my oreo 6s for DS pair of the CDPs

I don't like how the "shark tooth" in the inside of the midsole is white. Takes away from the OGness. Otherwise, I'm copping and should retire after this release.

I had the OGs when I was a kid. The black Vs were my first pair of Jordans. We just called them either the "new Jordans in white" or "new Jordans in black". That's how we were asked to select 'em at the local Foot Locker too. The numbering recognition came later.

I don't recall us using nicknames differentiated each version by nickname either, but instead we used descriptions like "the ones with the 'WINGS'" =IVs...."reflective tongues / teeth on the side" = Vs. Again, this is from my memory and I'm sure other parts of the country had different experiences and memories. I get a kick out of the nicknames my younger relatives use for these re-releases. :lol:
 
For those of you who have an early release pair....how is the leather? Is it stiff like the White/Cement IV? I'm hoping it's softer than that...
 
^ It looks like the same leather but who knows. I kind of like the cement IV leather because it doesn't crease very easily but yeah it is pretty stiff.
 
I love the WCIV leather so these will be had! :smokin
I do not get Jordans for comfort. Those are what my Dunks and SBs are for.
I dont think they have one truly comfortable model 1-13.
The ones that are "comfortable" are heavier and thus your feet sweat more. So I dont count those as comfortable either

I'm there with you mane... I just look at my bank statement online the last couple months and added up all the amount I bought shoes. I was surprised that I spent that much.
