I finally tried Five Guys a while back, expected it to be at or near the level of In N Out considering how many times I've heard east coasters say it was superior. Blasphemy. I was genuinely shocked at how average it was.

That picture is beautiful, btw . .

The only thing it has over In-N-Out is the option to add bacon.

Definitely would not recommend bun bo hue to an asian food noob. congealed blood isn't for the faint of heart.
oh you mad, you're missing out on a LOT of good stuff by limiting yourself to just pho.
for thai, get pad thai and pad kee mao. even the most unexperienced tongue enjoys those two dishes.
had carne asada fries last night at lolita's in SD (arguably the best). not my pic:

Those who post their own pics, repped - Thanks!

I got Vietnamese noodles with shrimp cake, a churro, and coffee for brunch  Random as hell.

I just recently started using a mandoline slicer and have been making fresh potato chips all weekend :smokin. I've been seasoning them with seasoning salt, black pepper, garlic powder and onion powder. I need to see what's in my cupboard and make a bbq spice mix.
