Official SEPTEMBER 2012 Nike Outlet/Website/Store Update Thread - DO NOT MAKE REQUESTS

You're a smart guy, I see you post helpfully and with insight in the jersey thread and other places, so let me make one point and then repeat a past post.
1. Price as compared to retail doesn't really matter anymore. The shoes aren't available for retail any more. So, the more appropriate comparison is to the standard secondary market pricing. You have to price this option for acquiring the shoe in comparison to another actually existent option for acquiring the shoe. Copping at a retail location isn't an option as of now.

am i missing something? why is retail not an option? and this part lost me - "You have to price this option for acquiring the shoe in comparison to another actually existent option for acquiring the shoe."

unless you just want to have a debate, its hard for you not to understand what he said.

Hopefully the examples in the parentheses help.

You have to price this option (the "B" stock outlet sneaker) in comparison to another actually existent option (resellers, black market, etc.) for getting the shoe you want.  Retail is not an option for many of these sneakers because many are sold out on release day.

If retail was an option then it becomes the preference for the buyer if he wants to take the chance on quality for a slightly lower price.

Yeah - thanks for clarifying, people. ...Didn't think it was confusing, but w/e.

The retail price of an item that is no longer available in retail locations is irrelevant. Should we talk about the retail price of Galaxy Foams?...

Sometimes, you can get lucky on the bay and get a new pair around MSRP, but that's not commonplace. The basis of price comparison should be the readily attainable alternative.

The B-grade vs retail is a strawman argument unless there's a spot by you sitting on size runs of A-grade Oly VIIs. ...If that's the case, then you should be contributing to the thread!!!

Thank you sir.
Thank you all for Posting Cork  and Major Plug thank you too got the email on the way to work and banged out since I was on the LIE. No more Size 10 and 10.5 in the Retro 4's. 4 Pairs left in the Retro 12s as of 12:00 Noon. Plenty of sizes left as the size run was visible behind the counter.  I copped both pair and they let you view through each pair until you find your liking but they were all good.

I'd rather pay 129.99 plus tax for these = 141.21 Total I would rather pay that than the secondary market price of 299.99 and that pair may still have a flaw . Two pair for $282.42 is cheaper than you will find one pair of Retro 4 Cements on the secondary market ebay etc. Its like getting the Obsidian 12's for free I will still have a conversation piece on my feet when I sport these gems.

Thank you all for spreading the word !

I called Michigan City, IN Nike Outlet and they said they haven't been getting any of the Jordan B grades lately. Do they not get anything decent there?

It's not EXACTLY random, but it kind of it. There are a few locations that often get good stuff (South Chi, Caramillo, some of the Florida places comes to mind - also the one in Wisconsin that got all those B-grade CDPs. Riverhead is decent too).

But, the majority of outlets never get these kinds of drops - there aren't enough to go around. It's kind of a stroke off luck. Best thing to do is to keep your ear to the ground - follow this thread, Cork, etc. Use Nikefind and put in some work yourself too and contribute.

Elite Aways $180 at Niagara Falls Nike Outlet. Right now only sizes 10.5-14. The guy said theyve been there all week so Im assuming phone orders are welcome. He also told me they have more and other shoes to unload with in the next week. I couldnt grab em. But from the two 10.5s I looked at, one was A grade quality while the other had loose threading around the mesh around the ankles. Hope this helps.

Here's the number I think.

PS: I also saw this and the Lebron James Dream Team jerseys on the 40% off rack. Only one Kobe and two Lebrons

Just came from Riverhead. Size 7-8 and 11 and up in white cement IVs. Pretty much a full size run of obsidian XIIs. One pair per customer - not one pair per style per customer grrrr. No phone orders.

So they're making you choose between the two shoes?  Damn.  Can't knock the hustle, but don't they realize people like more than one shoe?

Kinda salty that I missed those Pippen's from a page or two ago.  Gonna do a Nikefind and see what I can turn up.  Time to start lining up holiday gifts.
