THE OFFICIAL 2023 DALLAS COWBOYS OFF-SEASON THREAD || Cowboys Gonna Cowboy

If we lose 1 game, it's time to shut it down for Dez. No way 9-7 gets us in the playoffs. We really have to run the rest of the season.

them early season games that we had a shot to win about to come back and bite us in the ***

As usual.

And I know a W's a W, but barely winning the last few close ones isn't much of a confidence booster either. Sounding like a broken record so I'll just quote myself (really wished I didn't have to)

Not sure what this Dallas team needs to motivate themselves in the first half, every damn game they're playing for the season. :smh:

^^ At the same token, the games we have lost we have barely lost.

Giants
Ravens
Falcons

I know that our wins aren't pretty, but our losses are only by a few points or a possession at most usually also.

That Giants one though hurt the worst...

We had no business being in that game... None at all.

Then to be within an inch of a win... (I still think Dez got in though)

@calvinwatkins Dez Bryant just walked onto the practice field. He has nothing on his left index finger.

#Cowboys WR #Dez #Bryant made a brief appearance on the practice field at Valley Ranch this morning but he's not practicing today.

#Cowboys WR #Dez #Bryant will see another doctor today and get another opinion on his broken left index finger. Team doing all it can.

Dez came out to practice. Had everything but his helmet. Wasn't showing off his finger, but running around with a smile. Couldn't stay away.

@DezBryant couldn't resist. Making a spectator-only appearance on #Cowboys practice field here at VRanch.

Big Ben toying with the D-Line on that drive.

My tv was almost broke many times today bout time the D did something like a TO that mattered. Tied for first with 2 games to go lets get it.

I'm really starting to love this team, man. They never pack it in. Injuries, being down in the score, everything. This wasn't even a good game from us relatively. JG got away from the run (but did add the quick screens) and we went back to getting penalized heavy, and McCray was getting roasted in coverage. But we made those plays when it mattered. I love it man. Random, but another thing I noticed is Harris' balance is amazing and he never fumbles. It's crazy.

Dwayne Harris needs to be utilized more in the screen game. He's a complete blitz buster for us.

Dez's finger worries the **** outta me though...

Romo to Bryant, last 6 games

i love that we winning/still fighting but all it does is keep jason garrett around longer than he needs to be.

....how i felt reading that stat, in that order...lol.

but as long as we keep winning/still fighting i say keep JG around...

imo its obvious he made adjustments throughout the season...

were def a diff team than we were in bal or atl...

and as depleted as we are on defense, and as garbage as the oline has been all year, garrett still keeps us competitive every week....and unlike atl, nyg in dal, bal games, were getting the breaks at the end of the game...were making the plays we werent just a month ago..

thats growth...im loving this teams growth..their fight...

everything we want is within our own doing, lets go get it!!!

I could only imagine what Demarco would do with a good OLine.

Would be unfair :smh:

Cowboys still have to win out.. Win the next 2, we're in. Lose 1, we have to hope Giants or ******** lose both. Along with Bears or Seahawks who hold the tiebreaker on us

Took a look at the Free Agents of this team for next year. Hopefully Jenkins is not resigned. Ogletree I wish would would be back, but I bet one team will take him and put him higher in the depth chart than we do (Right now I have him 4th. And that's unlikely to change next year). Depending on how much Felix wants is whether he should be back, If it's cheap, then I'll take him... Spencer will be back. I like what Butler brings in Depth, despite overall shaky play. James Hanna probably ended Phillips on the Cowboys.

Everything else is up in their air.
-We need to shuffle the line.. A solid guard and center would do wonders. We'll never get the 90s OLine again (how we did in the 90s is mindblowing).
-Get a #3 corner. Scandrick is good enough as a #4 corner..
-Figure out how we can bolster the DLine a bit.. Hatcher is the only one playing what he's worth (He only gets $1.5mil a year). Ratliff isn't worth what we're paying him. Never was. Never will be. Especially being on the other side of 30. And injured, seems to be a problem. I'd be fine with him, if we could find a nice pass rushing DE to play with Ratliff and Hatcher. Just to force more interceptions, which we are tied for last.

I'm excited to see what this team could do the rest of the season.
