THE OFFICIAL 2023 DALLAS COWBOYS OFF-SEASON THREAD || Cowboys Gonna Cowboy

Hope she doesn't break dudes heart.
He's finally coming into his own as an NFL defensive back.
If she leaves him dude might regress and go back to getting Harlem Shaked like Antrell Rolle.

Last year, Romo ranked last in the NFL in play-action percentage, attempting a play-action pass on just 10.0 percent of his dropbacks despite totaling a 109.1 passer rating on those passes.

In 2013, Romo ranks last in the NFL in play-action percentage, attempting a play-action pass on just 10.3 percent of his dropbacks despite totaling a 121.2 passer rating on those passes.

:smh: The offensive coaching staff has got to go.... and if Garrett wants to keep his job he should allow a OC to put a new system into place.

Agreed. The entire staff. Wade Wilson, Callahan, Gary Brown, Dooley, etc .. clean house and bring in some creative minds.

This is sad.

I really wish we could see what Romo's career would be like without Garrett.

I've mentioned it before, but I'd really like to see what it would have been with Payton instead :wow:

If Sean Payton was our head coach the Giants wouldn't have any Super Bowl victories in the millennium, because we would have been NFC champs the two years they won.

Still feeling good from Sunday and Romo's game winning final drive.
I wonder if Eli got his Black Friday broom Tony bought him.

Man y'all sounding like these old cats calling talking cowboys. Our O isn't usually the problem we are consistently ranked in the top 10 under Garrett. Now I wish we could do some other stuff but honestly they don't need much on O a few more screens and more productive running at times not a complete new system.

Nah

When Garrett was calling plays the team was always top 10 in yards.

But middle of the pack in points per game.

And always in the bottom of the league in redzone scoring and rushing.

Other than 07, and maybe 09 they offense has underachieved. Some of that has to do with the Oline being bad, but most offensive coordinators with a QB of Romo's caliber have figured out how to negate bad olines at least to some effect.

All teams had to do was blitz right up the middle to make the Cowboys offense stutter. And Garret would never counter that with different play calling. Would keep calling plays like we had the same line we had in the 90's.

Yeah...man if we could only rewind time and change a few things

On a side note, Happy Thanksgiving to you, and everyone else on here. Probably won't get to post much tomorrow until the later part of the night possibly. More than likely, not until work Friday.

P.S.: We better not choke tomorrow :smh:

now i didnt know this, but someone in the Cowboys coaching staff NEEDS TO KNOW THIS.

im surprised yall think Scan is playin well, most of the lil 'recalls' in my memory says otherwise.

but ill take ya word that he's ballin.

The play action stat is a by product of not runinng the ball.
No defender respects a fake in the fourth quarter, to a running back that hasn't carried the ball but 7 times in 3 quarters.

From watching the games, we already know that play action statistic is also skewed by the fact that play action is mainly run on short yardage(2nd and 1) situations when defenses are already looking for the run.

They rarely run play action on like a 1st and 10 or 2nd and 10.

Still, I do think they need to run the ball more and do more play action.
