THE OFFICIAL 2023 DALLAS COWBOYS OFF-SEASON THREAD || Cowboys Gonna Cowboy

Our run defense has to be on point next week. McCoy looked scary last night :smh:

I was on pins and needles during the game. That last drive was just too wild

Glad we got the win though. I wish they didnt switch us to primetime though. I hate this team playing on MNF and SNF

Our boys are due for a big Win at home!! Can't believe I sold these damn tickets in the beginning of the season lol.

A win is probably the worst thing that could happen for us next week. I really want to see if Jerry is a man of his word if we don't make the playoffs. The entire staff needs to be fired.

............. its funny I had friends text me right after his TD like "yeah I see why he's your favorite player now Chia" "wow you've had this dudes back for years, you were def right about him" etc

DeMarco is B A L L I N G out right now guys, that dude is unreal. He does look slower though, he looks like the weight he added slowed him down but still he's a beast.

No way we win this Sunday no way, i'm putting a 100 on the Eagles, worst case scenario I win money for a pair of kicks lol or I jinx them, I did this with the second Giants game I put like 25 on it just to jinx them and it worked lol.

We can' stop that Philly offense with our pathetic D, no way.

Also I was at Fridays and they had the Jets game on the main tv with audio but I watched our game I just couldn't hear what the announcers were saying, why did they pick up that flag when that ******* took his helmet off?

His helmet came off by accident, he was too excited. When he jumped up to celebrate it fell right off his head.

alright thanks, the TV was far away so anything that was bang bang like that I had trouble seeing and I couldn't hear the announcer

I was on my best behavior up in Fridays except for my language but i'm a nut watchings games I thought I was pretty good except for when DeMarco scored on that game winner I hopped up to go walk away and do a fist bump or something idk and I almost plowed this waitress over lol I felt really bad

I really have no idea what I want to happen Sunday  The thought of us winning it, and thus Jerry extending Garrett or keeping Kiffen another year is almost unbearable :smh:

But the thought of sweeping the entire division and beating Philly for the fourth straight game while simultaneously having this entire board shut up for at least a week :wow: :wow: :wow:

I think is like the last Superbowl we won. Winning it ensured bragging rights, especially over a fanbase we didn't like, and it was awesome to see the team pull though. But at the same time it probably hindered the franchise for two decades..

Definitely conflicted

Can't even understand not wanting to win. It's one game, for the playoffs, against a rival. And if we lose a new coaching regime doesn't guarantee anything, especially a Superbowl. I want Garrett gone too (given up on him ever learning) but what'd be 100x worse is losing in weeek 17 for the division/playoffs again.

I've had enough of this JG, if losing on Sunday is the only way for us to get rid of this entire staff then so be it. I don't get too caught up in the bragging rights in the division. Recently, the only team that has room to talk is the Giants because they have the rings to show for it.

A new coaching staff doesn't guarantee anything but it does mean we're going in a different direction. I'll take that over losing a wild card game and bringing this regime back for another year.

Maybe Tony's milking this to get Garrett fired?

Report of tension between Jason Garrett and Tony Romo
Posted by Michael David Smith on December 22, 2013, 9:59 AM EST

Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett and quarterback Tony Romo are apparently not seeing eye to eye.

Ed Werder of ESPN reports that there’s tension between Garrett and Romo, a troubling sign for the Cowboys, who are still hoping to win their final two games and get to the playoffs.

After the Cowboys blew a huge lead in a loss to the Packers last week, Garrett pointed out that Romo changed the play before he threw a costly interception. Whether Romo’s interception and Garrett’s subsequent criticism are the cause of the tension or a symptom, the two of them are apparently not on the same page.

If Garrett wants to keep his job, he’d be wise to get on the same page with Romo. The reality is that Cowboys owner and General Manager Jerry Jones loves Romo, and gave him a contract that locks him in as the team’s franchise quarterback for years to come. If Jones feels like he has to choose between Garrett and Romo, that would be an easy choice: Romo would have a new coach in 2014.

There are many bigger concerns than just this upcoming Sunday.

As a defender of Romo, I am also realistic. We just gave him a huge contract at age 33 and he is having back problems. There isn't any other word to use besides "TROUBLE."

I hate to say this but his replacement MUST be drafted next year with a 1st round pick. Doesn't matter what we need. 33 and back problems is the worst thing that can happen at a time when we just gave him a huge extension.

We definitely need to draft a replacement QB, but we have more pressing needs with our 1st pick.

What will it take to get Mallett from New England? :nerd:
