This team played right into the packers hands. I don't want to hear anything about them winning out the next 2 games because that is not going to happen point blank period. No one should be defended because that is what the cowboys have done since 1997. They have a terrible cap situation coming up so I see no upside to this team.

I'd love to hear the defense of Jason Garrett ' s job right now
Iwas always defending dude but nah son he gotta go. Damn season not over yet though but I don't want to lose just for him to get fired. I wanna win still and unless we lose to Washington it comes down to Sunday night week 17

At this point the only reason I'd even want to make the playoffs would be so these clown Eagles fans would shut up

True, but beating the Eagles means Garrett stays. I'd rather the Egirls get their laughs in because ultimately, they will never get a lombardi

Garrett should not have audibled from run plays to pass plays at the line of scrimmage and thrown those interceptions at the end of the game.

It's Garrett's fault for the audibles and throwing interceptions.

Oh. RT @BryanBroaddus: Garrett just said that Romo changed the play on the last interception...should have been a run call.

don't blame the coach blame romo for the audible, run the ball take the loss of yards clock keeps running maybe different outcome.

The thing that bothers me most is the lack of commitment to the run game. Forget the last two drives. The couldnt stop Murray and we just went away from him for no reason.

Defense doesnt even need to be spoke upon. They are terrible. 5 straight TD drives smh. Has anyone seen Ware, dude has been ghost all year.

This team is just a huge disappointment

If Garrett is in fact fired, he will leave Dallas and be successful somewhere else where he isn't handicapped by Jerry Jones and a choke artist QB. Much like Sean Payton.

Garrett is a quality coach, he may not be Dungy/Cowher, but he sure isn't Wade Phillips/Chan Gailey/Dave Campo.

This team may not win another Super Bowl as long as Jerry Jones is alive.

Pretty much. We have to get lucky and somehow win in spite of Jerry.

But to be honest, I don't see Garrett getting another HC'ing job right away. Maybe OC at BEST but I'm thinking he has to be a QB coach again.

That's why I'm not sold on it being any different no matter the coach. It's also no guarantee that just because a coach has won a Super Bowl in the past means that they will do well in the future. Parcells won how many playoff games with Dallas? Jimmy Johnson came back with Miami did what? What's Shanahan doing in Washington? What did Joe Gibbs do when he came back to Washington? Zip, Zero, Nada.

Honestly, Romo has always been the problem ... People like to make excuses but that is the long and short of it ... I see football from a coach's perspective because I coach and he is the reason why this franchise has been terrible for his time ... Garrett is growing as a head coach, learning at the expense of the organization ... But without Romo being simply terrible, Garrett is more successful in his tenure ...

The game was lost today, not on the two picks, but Romo's inaccurate deep balls to Dez Bryant ... He throws the worst deep ball in the NFL and that includes Chad Pennington ... If Romo was simply average at throwing deep, Dez has two touchdowns ... Romo has been statistically above average and historically terrible in crunch time ... But the games are won and lost on his inability to make accurate deep throws ... Happened last week when he sailed a deep in to Dez on the short field drive and it happened 3 times today ...

Tony Romo in December is like watching Bill Buckner (I think that's his name) lowlights on repeat ... He is not a winner, never has been and never will be ...

Romo has been horrid this year. Kills me when people say he's having a great year. Dude hasn't completed one deep ball all year, can't convert on third downs, misses wide open dudes, constant overthrows, purposely taking sacks 80% of the time he sees any pressure... Half of his Tds are just the result of Dez and Witten making great plays.

Hope we aren't witnessing the beginning of a decline.

^^ I'd say Romo is part of the problem but not *THE* problem man. You can't have 22 game winning drives and not be at least halfway decent.

Keep in mind the Cowboys are 26-44 in December since 1996.

Romo was 15 years old in 1996.

But Romo/Garrett doesn't work. One of them has to go.

We just paid Romo 108 mill so he isn't going anywhere.

That forces Garrett to be the one to bite the bullet.

#Cowboys OC Bill Callahan: "I'm not required to speak to the media after the game."

EDIT:

Clay Matthews: "I feel like we won the Super Bowl. I know it might be a little premature in saying it. I feel like I was in college again."

Cguy, I don't eem wanna hear it ... I've been taking flack for about a solid 5 years going in on this Romo/Garrett regime we've been witnessing ... In fact, every single time I speak I'm right on this damn forum and I catch hell for it ... Bounty Be Real bruh ...

Garret won't be ishh wherever he goes, he is what his record at head coaching shows. Mediocre.. Example being Romo calls a audible to change a running play to a passing play on 2nd and 6 and throws a INT and Garret doesn't show any emotion. Him and Wade Phillips aren't going to make it as a Head coach anywhere. The Sean Peyton's, Ryan's, jimmy Johnson's, Switzers,Parcells, Ryan's demand respect and hold players accountable for not doing their job. All the problems the cowboys have held in the past 5 years comes down to discipline. As a cowboys fan that watches his team beat themselves week after week it gets to the point where I feel they don't trust or respect the coaching staff so they are overthinking every call instead of going out there and playing.
