THE OFFICIAL 2023 DALLAS COWBOYS OFF-SEASON THREAD || Cowboys Gonna Cowboy

Zack Martin & Travis Frederick have each allowed just 4 QB hurries, 1 QB hit and 0 sacks this season

Heh, and remember when dudes laughed at us taking a center?

So gone are the days of Phil Costa

to be fair, they laughed because you traded down, probably didn't get enough value for as far as you moved, then you took him much earlier than he was graded at the time. that's more of a laughing at the circumstance, not the player himself. well, that's at least what i laughed at.

That whole draft has been great. 9 tds so far from that class. 6 from Twill. A starter in Wilcox. Escobar is finally being used. That trade with the Niners is heavily criticized but the pick was used for TWill, and you can't say a bad thing about Frederick right now obviously. The front office knew what they were doing.

Not gonna front, was not a fan of the Frederick pick initially.

But he has been great so far.

In hindsight, that opening game loss to San Francisco was tough. I think finishing anything less than 13-3 or 12-4 will be unacceptable. Can't wait till Bruce Carter returns, his absence though, helps the LBs behind him on the depth chart gain much needed snaps. But again, based on our schedule, finishing with 11 or 10 wins will not suffice. I can see us losing 2/3 division road games, which will be our only tests. We are historically a GREAT road team. I just hope to goodness we don't lay down against Detroit (last years game was absurd) and Indianapolis. Jacksonville game will be a trap game but, I'm glad it's oversees in London. Crowd support should be 90% Dallas, 10% Jacksonville :D

We don't play Detroit this year fam, I think you meant Chicago .. 11-5 is fine, hopefully momentum is on our side down the stretch when we need it most. Arizona is gonna be a huge game, glad it's at home. Also that 3 game stretch in 12 days is going to be CRITICAL, Midgets, Sheagles, & Bears, 2 of those games on Thursday night.

Lol, yea, my bad no Detroit. Stupid NFL Network must've had an onscreen typo saying we play Detroit. In regards to Chicago, that game will be a test of course. I think Dez will impose his will over Tim Jennings or Kyle Fuller, whoever covers him. And I know for a fact we'll get a number of INT chances from Jay Cutler. We just have to capitalize.

As bad as Cutler can be/has been if we don't pressure him he will chew the d up

Cowboys wavie Michael Sam :smh: .. We can't get any consistent pressure on the QB yet we wavie the pass rush specialist? I know Marinelli could've made it work, he's turned guys off the street into legit players along with resurrecting careers.

Gonna need to make active roster spots for Brent, Lawrence, and Okoye within the next two weeks. They'll probably want alot of the guys that were waived to make spots for them to go to the practice squad. Not mad at the move.

The surging Dallas Cowboys are about to add another pass rusher to the mix.

Coach Jason Garrett told reporters Saturday that second-round defensive end Demarcus Lawrence is expected to be activated in time for the team's Week 9 meeting with the Arizona Cardinals, per ESPN.com's Calvin Watkins.

The No. 34 overall pick out of Boise State was placed on IR-Recall after breaking his right foot at practice in July.

Lawrence has the chance to make an immediate impact for Dallas. Despite the team's 6-1 record, the Cowboys have just seven sacks on the year, ranking them 27th in the NFL.

Once healthy, the rookie is a lock to see snaps as a pass-rushing specialist behind Jeremy Mincey and Tyrone Crawford. With George Selvie and Anthony Spencer in the mix, Lawrence will have time to develop as Dallas preps for its playoff push.

 Can't lay down vs the Skins. If we beat them, and then handle business vs Arizona at home next week we'll be 8-1 with Philly having games @Houston and @GreenBay in two of the next 3 weeks. And we play the Jags after Arizona......

Could be in great shape come Thanksgiving.. Which is of course a home game....

Just have to handle business.

Can't wait to see D-Law next week either.
So much anticipation!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 jfksdjfkl;adjfksjfkl;dasjfkl;ndklv;ndfkf[qewraj

I love this "Keep our heads down, one game at a time" shtick. Dont underestimate anyone Boys!

Met B Carr, & T Williams at that GMC MNF event, pretty cool guys.
Anyways, Skins' won't just take a beating.
I know it's always a struggle between us.
I still remember that horrible game which all we scored was field goals smh...
Grudge match usually, but if we can just embarrass them too that'd be fine.
