THE OFFICIAL 2023 DALLAS COWBOYS OFF-SEASON THREAD || Cowboys Gonna Cowboy

this sucks, Romo always gives us a chance to win, so bummed out right now

Not in December. Looking forward to Orton starting. What's Romo, 1-7 in elimination games? Let's not pretend he's been getting anything done in these games.

Also, gives a chance to evaluate whether the problem is Garrett or Romo.

NOBODY is giving us a shot.... The media laughs at us....

My mind is telling me we havent got a chance but F it.... Im hoping for a miracle. These are grown *** men... they just go out there and lay an egg...

Can they?

I honestly despise the cowboys and Jerry jones always have always will...but I would love to see kitna come in and make a miracle run and win but I highly doubt it

Kitna can't even play anymore at an NFL level. He really shouldn't have even been brought in. Hopefully Orton doesn't get hurt.

This is supposed to be the most crowd attendance since 2009. Maybe Foles gets shook?

Need to be balanced, commit to the run. Get the ball out quickly and let your playmakers do work.

Foles is 0-3 vs Dallas and had the worst game of his career vs us in his house. Hoping we'll have some type of psychological advantage vs him

Murray will get a lot of carries and Orton will give Dez some toss ups. Hopefully the defense can get at least a couple turnovers but I doubt it. If anything I just hope we go out with some heart and not just roll over

So Murray is gonna finally get the carries he EARNED? LOL SMH. so silly.not you the coaching staff

After looking back on this season, I'm honestly amazed that we were able to win 8 games with all the injuries, elementary school level coaching and this terrible defense. If we were even slightly below average at those categories we would've won 3 more games :smh:

I read earlier that Philly hasn't had to make any 53 man roster changes since the season started and none of their starters have been on the injury report the past few weeks. Injuries can obviously be random, but the Cowboys need to find out what the Eagles are doing.

Don't know how easy it would be to replicate what the Eagles are doing but they need to take a look...

Philadelphia Eagles Using Sports Science To Solve The NFL Injury Riddle
December 14, 2013 4:09 pm EST by Matt Kelley gplus

Howard Smith-USA TODAY

During training camp, the Philadelphia Eagles‘ lack of hitting and practice field reps raised the eyebrows of local sports reporters. Then the media learned that players were drinking personalized smoothies, spending additional time in yoga-like stretching and meditation programs, and sleeping longer hours to ensure a maximum amount of REM time.

Was Chip Kelly just too soft for the NFL?

After fourteen grueling weeks, we have learned that there is hard science behind his soft practices. Despite a highly secretive disposition going back to mini camp, details about Chip Kelly’s groundbreaking Sports Science program have surfaced throughout the season, and the results have been extraordinary.

The first indication that Kelly would be implementing a unique approach to player performance assessment and body maintenance came when the Eagles became the first NFL franchise to hire a Sports Science Coordinator in Shaun Huls. His resume includes four years as a student of the famed Husker Power strength and conditioning program at the University of Nebraska, a four-year stint as Performance Coach for the U.S. Naval Special Warfare Group 2, and high level Brazilian jiu-jitsu skills. Shaun’s approach to training includes a focus on free weights and plyometric body explosion, and his philosophy on nutrition emphasizes vegetables over meats and gluten-based foods.

The Eagles have paired their non-traditional approach to strength, conditioning and nutrition with unprecedented technology investments to more accurately monitor, measure, and analyze the physiological impact that playing football has on the human body. With NFL teams investing hundreds of millions on their players, the logical next step is dedicating the necessary time and resources to develop an innovative approach to maintaining player health and wellness while optimizing on-field performance.

Eagles players wear heart monitors during practice to collect data on body excursion. Between their shoulder blades, they wear OptimEye devices that utilize GPS, magnetometer, accelerometer and gyroscope components to track acceleration, agility, and endurance throughout practice and exercise routines. The Sports Science program is uniquely advantageous to the Eagles, because Chip Kelly’s up-tempo system requires even more from the human body than the average NFL scheme. This data-driven approach is designed to prevent the overworking and overtraining that often causes soft-tissue injuries.

However, the results were not immediately positive as a key member of the offense, wide receiver Jeremy Maclin, tore his ACL in late July. But as the season has worn on, many other NFL teams have been ravaged by injuries while the Eagles have emerged as the healthiest team in the league.

It is now apparent that Chip Kelly’s secret program is contributing to the Eagles’ remarkable player health this season. Wide receiver DeSean Jackson is one example of the program’s success. He had not played all sixteen games since his rookie year. In 2013, however, he has only appeared on one weekly injury report. Safety Nate Allen recently remarked that his body is not nearly as beat up, and he is actually feeling better with each passing week.

The Eagles’ cutting-edge Sports Science system has translated into steadily improved on-field performance as the team currently rides a five-game winning streak. As the season grinds on, the team’s technological and physiological innovations will continue to create significant competitive advantages.

^^^^^^ Obviously there's a little luck involved, but they definitely need to mimic some things. No reason a team should be this injured two years in a row.

As I stated before, an early TD and/or turnover will do wonders to get this crowd into it...

A lot of what the Eagles success stems from in general but particularly on the road is jumping on teams early, if Da Boys can get the lead on them, even if it's 3-0 and we get the ball back it's on us to pound that joint with Demarco against this terrible Eagles D.

Monte Kiffin, I'M BEGING YOU TO PLEASE COMMIT TO SOMETHING, BE IT LOADING UP ON SHADY OR BLITZING/PLAYING MAN ACROSS THE BOARD... DO NOT SIT IN A DAMN TAMPA 2 ZONE AND HOPE SOMETHING HAPPENS.

GAME DAY FELLAS!

I went from being excited to being bummed to being excited again this week!

Probably the most awkward football/playoff situation ever.

I'm not here to cause trouble just wanna wish u cowboy fans good luck, after all.. You are my NT fam. But I gotta stick with the eagles this is the most excited I been for my team since t.o n McNabb

:rolleyes :x uuuggghhhhh........the cockiness of these birds**t fans in my area is sickening. I hope the cowboys play on the field isnt as bad as I think it will be.

LeSean McCoy guaranteeing a W saying the Eagles will "manhandle the cowgirls."
 I bleed green but McCoy is dumb as rocks in real life. I've read articles such as McCoy didn't kno that, that bears game didn't matter and it came down to the Dallas game on week 17 , like the coaches had to explain the playoff situation too him

We played Week 7 or 8. Not week 2.
Nd foles threw 30 passes last game.

Good luck today tho Mack. Valid point bout that second half momentum. Y'all got it for sure. No denying that.

I wasnt talking to you personally mack, but you might be the type of fan I was talking about. I work in south jerz and live in de, so being in eagles country is frustrating. This is the first time this season that I would take the typical, cardiac arrest inducing, close game that we've been known for the past few years(when it doesnt have to be).
