THE OFFICIAL 2023 DALLAS COWBOYS OFF-SEASON THREAD || Cowboys Gonna Cowboy

That's because you don't believe we are a better team.
This team has the potential to win out if they want to.
Other teams with lesser talent have done it.
Next five- Wash, Philly, Lions, Vikings, Saints.
I see 4-1 easy.
Next five - Giants, Raiders, Bears, Packers, Washington.
Survey says! 5-0.
Eagles at home to close out the regular season.
Starters probably will sit because the division is wrapped up so this game could go either way.

The Lions, Packers, Saints and Skins will give our defense fits.

Lets just be honest. We play to our competition, thats why nobody believes that we will go 9-2. Im just hoping for 7 more wins

Same, and I'm REALLY not understanding that part

We are 2-3. I forgot who it was, but someone said before season started that we'd start 8-0

We may not get to game 9 as a .500 team.

Doesn't matter whether you are a better team. Being a better team doesn't equate to an automatic win. If that's the case, we'd be 4-1,

Denver running backs ran the ball 27 times for 111yds.
Dallas running back ran the ball 12 times for 43yds.

The way I see it, yesterday's game showed this team who they can be.
Now they just have to finish games, and Garrett has struggled with that.
My hope is we make the necessary adjustments and begin to win these close games.

Now watch us go into the Washington game and put up 13 points against the worst secondary in the league....
You can't predict anything with this team

Like someone said, we play to our competition. No way in hell we go 10-1 or 9-2 down the stretch, our team as a whole doesn't have the mental capacity to handle or sustain that type of win streak. At best, we go 7-4 and that's a stretch.

7-4, 6-5 is what I expect. Still think we'll win the division, but we really dropped the ball these first few games. I know Denver and KC are undefeated, but we could've won both of those games.

Besides Dez and Witten, in what facets are we better than the Packers? Being reall. I have hopes of winning the SB every year, but be serious.

I agree with the fact that we play at the level of our competition because if we play like we played against Denver every week we would be in a much better position and be running away with this division. I guess thats one good thing NFC sucks so we still have change at winning Division.

There's not much difference between 50-75% of the teams in the NFL, and that was by design.
We can beat anyone when we have the right game plan and have properly prepared for the competition.
Truth be told the Cowboys get out coached more than they get out played.

I said 8-8 before the season, we may not even get to that

in all honesty, Dallas should be 5-0 right now or 4-1, they had a golden chance to be up there but they blew it yet again

i'm not surprised or mad at all, I've come to expect mediocrity with this football team

one of two things will happen, either they take the Denver game as a moral victory and get confidence knowing they can hang with the best or they hang their heads and they lose any confidence they had

this Skins game is a season maker or break, 3-3 and your right back into it, 2-4 and you can start looking at mock drafts

Chiacrack just looking at our team after the game let's me know they are excited about the rest of the season.
Kiffin told the media after the game to tell Cowboys fans not to get down on Romo.
He said Romo went toe to toe with the best quarterback to maybe play the game and made some great plays scrambling around.
I'll look for a link to post.
This defense will get better once they understand how each position plays in the scheme.
Everything has to be in sync for this defense to thrive, and that takes time.
Hopefully the offense will carry us until the defense gels.

Man I tip my hat to you.

i think you are crazy when it comes to the Cowboys prospects but I respect your optimism.

They ain't 11-0 or 10-1

I see 7-4 and easily winning the division only team above .500

If we don't get a pass rush then this D will look like trash. Plain and simple.
I agree, our secondary looks like crap but when there is no pass rush and manning has all day he will pick the secondary apart. I think the secondary is better than what they get credit for.

when you play Tampa 2, your front 4 needs pressure, if not that D will get picked apart

i'm not blasting Romo, just saying he keeps making blunders in critical moments

Yep. Ware and Hatcher been mia last two games. Marinelii won't get much from the line if the aren't diverting attention. Hopefully Mo builds off of last game. But now Carr seems to be struggling a little :smh: Scandrick and Wilcox still balling tho :smokin

The most Cowboys thing to happen vs Washington would be the defense dominating but the Offense struggling heavily :smh: I can see it now

Carr isn't struggling IMO he pretty much shut Demaryius Thomas down. He made him earn every catch he made.

carr didn't shut anyone down. peyton was to busy going at MO, and what ever LB was covering the Thomas the TE or the RB out the backfield

Peyton wasn't even looking Demaryius Thomas way and when he did he had to earn his catches. I'm not saying Carr gave him the Revis Island treatment but he damn sure wasn't struggling.

It depends on how you look at things. Personally I'm a huge believer in Pro Football Focus and they gave him a bad grade for this game. I agree with what was said earlier, Peyton not targeting Carr had more to do with the D we were playing. We've allowed 500 yards to tight ends and running backs the last two games. Not saying he's bad by any means tho. Carr has been awesome for us.

We released Will Allen. This draft is looking like a success. Two starters with one other major contributor so far.

Yall do realize we aren't playing the Broncos every week.
We should go on a good four game winning streak starting with the Washington Skunks Sunday night.
