THE OFFICIAL 2023 DALLAS COWBOYS OFF-SEASON THREAD || Cowboys Gonna Cowboy

 Adrian Peterson makes 12 million this year, we have 2 million in cap space. We have 4 running backs under the age of 25, no reason to trade for another one. Can't anyways.

^I saw that today. I would love to see AP in our uniform, but how the ***** would we pay him, Tony , & DEZ (We GOTTA keep him) ?

Nope. It could be the reverse of Jimmy's blockbuster trade.
We give Minnesota all our youth for AD, and then he blows his knee again.
Don't do it Jerry!

Not apples to apples but nice none the less

Yall boys already breaking down the draft for next year :smokin
Who are some good d-line cats in college?
And not worried about Detroit, because they are the Eagles with a better receiver.
We should manhandle them on both sides of the ball.

Put some money up since you confident.

I posted something similar in the thread I started a year ago about the notion that Dez Bryant was overrated, espite having similar starts in his first 32 games as some of the greats (or what NT considers great) including Calvin, Roddy White, Terrell Owens, and Steve Smith.

Question CowboysNT: Would you prefer an Eagles win or a Giants win this weekend? I'll be honest, I'm rooting for a tie

Giants lose and their playoff hopes are completely done, but at the same time, gives them the chance of scoring a top 5 pick and keeps the Eagles in close contention with us. Eagles also have a softer schedule the next 9 weeks.

Eagles lose and it gives us a cushion incase we lose to the Lions/Saints, but also gives the Giants "hope" and if there was any team that could go on a mid season run, its them. Although, over Coughlin's tenure, the middle of the year is always pretty dismal for the Giants, generally starting 6-2 and going 6-6.

I'd take a Giants win. That team is horrible, they aren't going on a 9-2 run to finish the season. And I really don't want our QB running from Clowney and JPP the next decade. Or our corners having to deal with Cruz and Mike Evans :smh: The Giants need to win about 6 more games

Calvin is obviously the best Wideout in the league. But an argument could be made Dez has been almost as good since his breakout half last year.

Since Week 10 - 2012

CJ 1689 yards, 10 TDs

Dez, 1448 yards 16 TDs

Sunday is going to be awesome.

This is why I can't stand ESPN :smh:

Same here. It's funny how the headlines are read as if Dez was disrespecting Mega or calling himself better when that wasn't the case.

“Truth be told, I don’t compare myself to nobody,” Bryant said Monday during an appearance on 103.3 FM ESPN in Dallas. “I think Calvin’s the best at what he [does]. I think I’m the best at what I do.”

Bryant said Johnson’s run-after-catch ability and the way he attacks the ball in the air are especially impressive. However, asked what Johnson could do that he couldn’t, Bryant paused for several seconds before answering.

Johnson Bryant
“I believe I can do whatever he can do,” Bryant said. “I think it’s just a pride thing. When it comes to football, just being on the field, it’s a mindset and having a mentality. I honestly believe when I’m there, I’ll be feeling like there’s nothing I can’t do. Whatever the coaches ask me to do, I’m going to do it.

“I always feel like there’s more. I always feel like there’s more. I think that’s just a mindset you’re supposed to have.”

Its false and not happening. Some clown, probably Ian Rapport, stated the Cowboys "may be" unhappy with DeMarco as the featured back. Ever since then, this notion that Dallas will make a trade keeps popping up. It's generating clicks and has people talking so that = success for the mediots.

lol yeah just saw a Bleacher Report article, nothing to see here move along but I would love to get AP

Wow. Stephen A was actually defending Dez today. NT was praising him 100% yesterday. I'm seeing him in top 5 receivers list's constantly. Dhall speaks the world of him. Dez has officially entered that list of respected/non hated Cowboys with Ware and Witten. Never thought that would happen  Have to bump that "Is Dez Bryant overrated" thread soon.

. Have to bump that "Is Dez Bryant overrated" thread soon.
had this guys back since April of 2010, last year heads were calling for him to be flat out released

dude is one of the most talented WRs I have ever seen

The only time I ever was fed up with Dez was the the Giants game in Dallas last season. I was highly emotional that game  But by the fourth quarter I'd have forgiven Dez  I really think that TD being taken away from him was the turning point of his career. I was mad at the time, but now I'm glad that it was taken from him.

  I was thinking the same thing but I dont wanna jinx him and he gets hurt or something. I was gonna wait until he had double digit TD's which will probably be by the time we play the saints.

I saw that. What's funny is alot of the the same dudes who called him a bust in that thread are now talking about how beastly he is. It really was never about his talent, dudes just didn't want to like him because he's a Cowboy. Some dudes still holding out hope like the Seahawks fan dude who craps on him every chance he gets.

Just how it is. |I

If Dez played for any other team then Dallas he'd be a concensus top 3 receiver. Like you said, just how it is. Had some dude's tell me Emmitt wasn't a top 15 all time running back a few days ago  :smh:
