THE OFFICIAL 2023 DALLAS COWBOYS OFF-SEASON THREAD || Cowboys Gonna Cowboy

Been looking on Stubhub and Ticket master for tickets, but May 2nd Single game tickets go on sale on cowboys official site. gonna scoop up 50 yard line ticks for either SF or MNF wash.
What time on May 2nd? Isn't it super hard to get single game tickets due to scalpers?
Ticketmaster through nfl.com and stubhub are legit ticket websites but of course it reselling so therefore cost a pretty penny. gonna try my luck on the website on release day, here is the link.

last year I tried on release day to cop a few tiks to the Dal/SD game. If i recall correctly they choose the seats for you.. wasnt really feeling it soo i opt'd for vividseats.com.

they are the cheapest I have seen so far.. beat all the other sites by a good 50-100$

Outside of our interdivision schedule, our away schedule is kinda weak from a good spot to visit perspective... Lookin like Seattle or New York for myself.

Currently, hitting up away Cowboys games >>>> Jerry's World.

Our away schedule is extremely weak (right now). I'd be optimistic if I trusted them to handle the division like they did last season, buttttttt

I'll shoot for DC.com to see if I get a decent price, but will bounce around that site

Went to atl year before last was the first loss Ive seen in person

Thought about London but can't really justify that kind of money for a football game right now

Considering going to @Wash. last game of the season, could be amazing or another huge letdown.
Really just depends on if i can find someone to go with. Only one other friend is a boys' fan.

Spencer, Melton, Crawford, Selvie, Bass, Hayden, and hopefully a new addition via first round of the draft, all coached up by Marinelli. Not a bad rotation by any means.

If everyone stays healthy of course, which likely won't happen

:smh:

I think the best part of it at least, we don't have to goDE this year unless someone good is slipping into later rounds, and we can go DT Round 1, Safety 2, and from there on just go wherever (as long as it is not TE again :smh: )

Spencer & Mincey starting DE.. Selvie, Crawford & Wilber rotating in. Selvie was decent last year, and I like Crawford.
Melton & (Hopefully Jernigan or Donald) starting DT. With Bass, Hayden rotating in.

If it was me (assuming all 3 guys were available when our pick comes up):
Round 1, Pick 16 - Timmy Jernigan, DT, Florida State
Round 2, Pick 47 - Deone Bucannon, S, Washington State
Round 3, 4, 5 in any order OG, RT, OLB.
The 100 7th round picks go with all skill position players.

Doesn't change the draft at all

This dude coming off serious knee surgery, he's not preventing them from going DE

If there's a guy they like they'll take him

Yeah I don't think it changes the draft with either. It's a one year deal, and they've already said they don't know if Spencer will be ready for training camp.

But then again, I've never felt that they HAVE to go with Dline in the first round anyways, even though I hope they do.

yeah doesnt really change much, Spencer is a serious unknown right now

I disagree. Because even with that the depth of DE is far better than at DT.

1st round they should avoid it. Simply because the gap between #1 DE Clowney & #2 Dee Ford is huge.

DT you have Jernigan & Donald who are not big in terms of difference in ability.

Also if they wanted to go DE, they could even wait until round 2 (although I want Bucannon, and think his physicality will be a huge plus to our Defense) and go Kareem Martin from UNC.

another SS type doesn't make much sense for us, we need a FS

JJ was a FS in college. Could always put him back there. No downside to it.

Say we go Pryor Round 1, because after Round 1 going FS would be a mistake. Just too much of a drop off.
You probably need to go DE round 2. Talent Round 2 for DE is far better than DT.

Puts you in a spot where your choices for DT Round 3 & 4 are really underwhelming.

At that point, our line is still what it is last year.

If you go DT. Then go DE & SS. Could get really good players Round 2 & 3, and move Wilcox back to his college position.

I like Wilcox a lot but he looks like more of a SS to me

Just wish the draft was here already this wait is killing me

IMO, based on need and depth I would put the importance on drafting a LB before a S, but that's me. If they aint great at coverage, i don't want them.

Spencers deal is worth up to 3.5 million dollars including incentives. Huge bargain if he stays healthy.

The team hasn't been flashy in free agency this offseason, but this is by far the smartest one they've had in years.

Yup

But staying healthy is this teams kryptonite

Since I have another 2 weeks and nothing else to do, I'm really going to try and track this year's draft. Normally I would tune out and only watch 5 minutes

I used to have a party and do a quasi bracket similar to ncaa just an excuse to drink and gamble though now it's way to spread out I can't set aside 4 days for a damn draft
