THE OFFICIAL 2023 DALLAS COWBOYS OFF-SEASON THREAD || Cowboys Gonna Cowboy

Welp.

Sloppy game all around. Fumbles and missed tackles.

Couldn't pick up a blitz to save our life.

McCoy cooked in the 2nd half.

Demarco wit an 8 yard run to start OT, didn't run it again.

2nd and 2.

Only positive was Romo isn't done for the season. Cardinals going to have a field day with their blitzes though....

:smh: McCoy was 25-30! Hats off to the Skins defense with those blitzes and the kid Breeland playin corner. With the options this team has they should be itching for teams to blitz and then burn them.

Second and 2 in OT and Murray doesnt get a touch?

We couldnt handle the blitz.

The lack of a pass rush is killing us.
Yeah why don't we run with the "best" o line smh. Ole let em off the hook behind dudes. Looked like the old Boys tonight and we definitely need a pass rush I'm sick of dudes that's wack as expletive putting up numbers. Last thing why does this weak d coordinator only go off on us and why don't we have screens to defeat this wack blitz smh.

Durant has torn biceps.

Murray had 19 for 141. Couldnt get the rock but one time in OT. Got me tight bruh

Cowboys fans need to relax.

We weren't going 15-1. We haven't lost in nearly 2 months and played a division rival with a QB that had a bad back. **** happens. Let the haters enjoy this one.

I was actually out with the fellas watching the game and there were 6 Jets fans, and 3 Bills fans in the same place cheering and high fiveing when things didn't go Dallas' way. They even did circles in the parking lot as we were leaving, Damn near midnight and you out watching Cowboys games celebrating a LOSS

Like I've told you guys before, the best part about being a Boys fan is knowing the amount of people that will go ghost/slit their wrists when the time comes and we get another ring. Let those guys have their fun for the next 5 days or so.

More importantly, Durant being out is huge. Luckily we have Bruce Carter back but we've had horrible luck at the LB'er position. The loss is huge regardless. We got too pass happy in this game and the beauty of this Cowboys team is our strength at oline and we can run it down an opponents throat at will.

We're still #1 in the division and #2/3 in the conference.

Everyone acting like it's the end of the world 6-2 at the half with a bye coming and our only pass rush "specialist" coming back next week I'm good with that

Durant's injury is big but we'll get through it as long as the rest stay healthy

Now wtf were they doing going with two pass plays on third and fourth down Murray was averaging 7.8 per carry give him the rock on third and three all day

Probably should have left Weeden in even if tony's ok one game does not make a season doesn't matter if it is a division game

^Thats the worst part about it, but the Eagles got a tough schedule coming up before they play us. Its gonna be a interesting next few weeks...

Although I agree Romo hurt us by staying in, I get the feeling if you replace Romo with "Peyton, Brady, Rodgers, Brees" etc we wouldn't be having this discussion. If you're best player tells you he's able to play, you play him. I can't see a HC telling anyone of the aforementioned QB's "No sit down." That's not to say Romo is on any of their level but the idea is you play your best players.

Personally, I would have benched Romo at the start of OT though. Or if not, RUN THE BALL.

I'm worried about Az's pass rush. Haven't watched any of their games myself yet tho.

I'll give the skins their credit too. They played a great game. Converted down when they needed to

^ Man flip the Skins and. I agree Arizona going to do the same dang thing hope they are ready for it this time.

phone blew up with some BS, I swear everyone who texted me has teams with as many wins as we have losses

sucks to see a great player go out.

Weeden looked great, his accuracy and arm strength were good

They looked like a team that was looking past the Skins and onto the Cardinals game. They looked unprepared for the blitzing that Jim Haslett has been doing for years.

Not one deep ball was thrown to Dez all game if I remember correctly. I feel like Romo had no clue out there about how to beat the blitzes. He had no idea of what audibles to call or anything, how to change the protections either, just confused.

The big thing was the turnovers, at least Demarco Murray will be cheaper to resign for next season because he can't hold onto the football. Every fumble is dropping his next contract by like $1million dollars per additional fumble.

same ol' Cowboys from previous years. smh

Very telling.

Romo moved Witten from the OBVIOUS side washington was blitzing from only to get sacked from that side. he looked lost.

GIVE MRRAY THE ball on 2nd and 2.

would have kept Weeden in.

How the O line so good at run blocking but are giving up all this pressure and sacks?

Disappointing game.

I'm not too freaked out about the game last night. Huge mistakes, but it was also a division game in which the other team brought more intensity than we did. Large part because they wanted it more than we did. Why? We were 6-1, and it's only Washington, they viewed the game as this is THE DALLAS COWBOYS.

We just need to sweep either Giants or Eagles, and split versus the other 2. That's a very successful year against a division.

Go 3-1 versus Division
Beat Jags
Win at least one of Colts, Bears, Cardinals. Preferably 2.

End season at least 11-5.

As for Cardinals. I wouldn't worry about them doing what Washington did on the pass rush. Washington ranked 7th in the pass, T-9th in Sacks. Cards ranked 32nd in pass, T-29th in Sacks. Cards make it up in Picks - they are 3rd. But without the ability to get on Romo (they don't have the personnel/ability) Romo doesn't turn the ball over. Where you need to worry is their Rush Defense. That's where they are #1, but we also have the #1 Running Back. Only need a decent game from Murray. Also their offense isn't as good as Washington, who has more ability to strike with sudden deep plays, which is how they beat us from that side of the ball.

Not saying it won't be tough, but there are certain positives going into the game against Arizona.

Great way to put things into perspective.
