THE OFFICIAL 2023 DALLAS COWBOYS OFF-SEASON THREAD || Cowboys Gonna Cowboy

My Cowboys brethren what is ******* good!!!! Haven't been on NT in months been away from the sneaker game but had to drop in to say I am so happy with how the season is going. Remember I was the guy who thought we would blow on defense win 6 games bag foolishly wanted Manziel over Martin even though I knew Zack was a potential stud lol funny I love being wrong!

Hope all is well and let's handle our business and get into the playoffs!

I wanna go back in that prediction thread and talk some serious trash but I didn't make any predictions this season  :smh: Still, never made sense to me how people could see this team being as bad as they thought it could be, blind hate.

Bro I love this team like I love breathing air but I did not believe this defense could be average and thought we would win 6-7 games lol but I love being wrong

This team is different they just fight and come through when old teams would fold it's awesome watching this team grow up

Tough game though, we haven't done well at home recently and our defense may have trouble with Luck. For once I would love to not have to count on a win or go home scenario again in week 17.

If we can win the turnover battle we should be able to pull this out. I'm thirsty for the playoffs been too long. I wanna see romo get redemption and I want that beast Dez in the playoffs he hasn't gotten a taste of that yet and you know he's hungry to get into the playoffs and ball out

sorry i havent paid much attention to the scenarios, so just one win and we are good? wow thats great I thought there was more to it actually

Or two wins and a Detroit loss gets us a bye

Edit: green bay may hold tiebreaker over us I'll have to check this out

Man I would lovvvvve a bye but let's just get in first then I'll start really looking at stuff like that

I'd love to beat Detroit or GB

Kinda seen that theme this year of teams that embarrassed us in the past we took it to them this year (New Orleans, Seattle being the big two)

I'm with you, just throwing out scenarios

Would be nice

How's blogging the boys going? I've cut out cowboys nation as my daily read since adding all the new staff in the off season just wasn't for me anymore

I don't write there anymore I stepped away before the start of last season but I read the articles there daily. Good material still they have more writers now. I just couldn't keep up with having to do 3-5 articles a week and have to write about things I didn't want to just to put material up for the site. I loved being a part of the team there but with my real job work I couldn't keep up and also got a little tired of having to be a company man to produce material just to do so. By far the best cowboys site out there but I wish they didn't just post articles for clicks sometimes because you get these filler type articles.

I do miss writing there and actually having a broad audience read your thoughts and actually care it was a great experience. Dave took a big chance on me bringing me on at the time I was a very controversial figure bad immature just said whatever what was on my mind and didn't hold back but once I got up to the front page I had to change that whole image. Lot of respect for him for taking that chance on me. Being a part of that writing roster was an honor.

Rabblerouser is probably my favorite writer on there I love his material. Always a good read. KD left I believe for a paying gig not sure if he does get paid for his new gig but I can't see him leaving BTB without getting a paying job because he was a huge part of that site. He's a talented guy he's all up on social media stuff and he can write his tail off. He's got a fantastic voice perfect for radio. I could see him on ESPN or something he's perfect for a media tv role

Geez I haven't surfed cowboys nation in a long time. I have a lot of respect for Raf he puts out very good material. I like the Steven Van Over guy he brought on but no offense to some of the other writers he brought on I just lost track with all the new voices.

I would like to write again but the time just isn't there for me anymore. If I could do 2 articles a week featured I would definitely jump into it again but BTB really wants 3-5 a week and while it doesn't sound like much that workload is tough with your paying job

I can understand this, I tried to pick up some consulting work on the side last year and it just throws off my normal flow

Yeah Raf was one of my favorite writers regarding the boys but he got a "real" job. Steve is talented, takes good photos, and can write as well (I had some back and fourth with him while I was at the Oakland preseason game) but that's where it ends for me the rest of the staff seemed to water down the site.

Edit: I know clicks are what pays for the site to stay going but I'm not interested in the filler or someone's opinion piece if they're not a 24/7 football writer they see the same or less than I do (most part time writers don't even watch all 22 it seems)

Second edit: I think it's really that I never made a connection with these writers, shoot one of them I'd from Europe. Can't see myself truly appreciating someone's work who I can't understand their point of view (all of this strictly about opinion pieces)

Yeah it's tough to juggle actually

When I wrote I just wrote about the boys and I watched every game every play so I was really in tune to what was really going on bad that's what makes team sites good for readers the writers usually know the team extremely well

Whoa whoa yall calm that talk down.

Basaaaaaa hahahaha come on I wanna see Linehan air it out on ya! Jk but you embarrassed us last year and I want revenge. Your front 7 is ridiculous though so it would be hard. Plus Tate is the best free agent pickup this year he's really helping

Add the bears to that list.

Can't wait for today's game. It's been a long time since we've tasted the tournament. I want in.
