THE OFFICIAL 2023 DALLAS COWBOYS OFF-SEASON THREAD || Cowboys Gonna Cowboy

I want to be happy.. But it was Nick Foles.. Good defensive effort nonetheless.

Ehh, this ain't college FB, style points are useless. I'll take a underwhelming W over a great looking loss(against DEN) any week of the season, and I'm sure you would too

Now onto Detroit.. Another game I consider a must-win.

I'll take it. But my level of happy for the secondary would be more if this is done against Stafford..

As do I. I think the next 2 are must-wins.

Indeed, next few games will be big. Now is the time to start stacking Ws

Also, I really like Cole Beasley.

He's pretty much our version of Wes Welker. Callahan needs to incorporate him more into the offense.

Selvie has played well this season and has been a blessing with how decimating our Dline has been.

Dang look like the Phillies came out to play... 3 points... Dang.

Good win. Next up Det. Hopefulle Ware and Murray will return.

Till then celebrate for the next 24 hours.

I like how we're using Beasley.

Even on Madden, I use him like welker he's clutch on that game lol, and I tell all my dudes hes the 'Broke mans Wes Welker'

"@BloggingTheBoys: #Cowboys defense has given up 1 touchdown over the last two games. #JustSaying"

"@BloggingTheBoys: & the team they held to one TD last week? scored 45 today. The team they held to 3 points today? Scored 30 each of last 2 weeks. #JustSayin"

:smokin Hopefully this defense is really starting to get it. If Carr can keep Megatron contained up than I'll be even more of a believer than I am now.

And Garrett confirmed that on the INT Tanner ran the wrong route bringing his man into the play on a pass intended for Beasley.

that pick was on Romo the ball was behind Tanner and he threw it right into a defender dont make that throw, I hate when he blames someone else, man up and admit it

great drive by Romo there though, though a lot of his passes have been off this season, his touch on some throws havent been there

Looking at it again it seems like Tanner brought his man in front of Beasley who the was target. Still, Romo saw Tanner walking in front of him. Should've adjusted.

All of this... bad routes again why do the backups on this team never know where they're supposed to be at

Also this was an ugly game that if Vick plays we probably lose, need ware healthy an getting some pressure. Carr is shutting down number 1's every week but up next is the real test. Where is the consistency on offense 17 isn't going to get it done most weeks with this d we got..
Good division win and first place is nice I'm just not ready to drink the kool aid yet

If it wasn't for the inexperience of the Eagle QB's, holding the ball too long, you would have thought it was 7on7. I would say let Ware sit through the bye week and get closer to 100%, but the way are pass rush looked today we probably need him out there in a couple weeks.

TWill waving bye to the Eagles fans

Great win. I don't care that it wasn't fancy like, its an NFC East division rivalry game.

Cowboys are in prime position to run away with division.

Beating the Lions next week would be huge.

They can blame tanner all they want Romo made a terrible decision

It's all good if you do that early though, you can make those mistakes in the third quarter just don't do it in the 4th

Tanner shouldn't be in either, Randle was looking real good

Matter of fact that TD that Tanner vultured is going to cost me a W this week in fantasy

Good win, sloppy but a win is a win in the NFL

Next up Detroit, huge matchups with Bush and Megatron

If Tanner ran the wrong route or whatever I get that the spacing was bad but Romo threw that ball into a bad area

Beasley was open but the intent of that throw didn't look like it was going to him if it was you put more air on it get it over the defender

Watch the play again you'll see what I mean

Didn't get to catch the game because I had to work but I saw that final score doe :pimp:

I need a recap bros, how did we look? TWill getting better? Run game moving? Defense?

TWill is a boss if he's not starting after this I'm gonna pissed

We didn't run a lot but when we did Randle looked good

D was awesome today but Eagles were sloppy, regardless they are atepping it up on that side of the ball

TWill has to be one of the steals of the draft. Dude is completely exceeding my expectations. If Miles can even produce like he did last season I don't see any team stopping the offense. Dez, Miles, Williams, Beasley, Witten and Romo with a good Oline is just too dangerous. But I honestly don't think we'll see that Miles again. Still, great receiving core.

Brandon Carr challenging Lee as the best player on defense. If Hatcher/Carter keep playing the way they currently are and Ware comes back strong than the D can be decent.

Ugly win is a win. Pass rush to me was *** today. Gave them too much time to prance around back there in the first half at least. Back end of the Defense played good considering the Eagles Qb's. Played lots of man coverage to the advantage of our secondary. Randle did ok. I think he needs to be more patient before hitting the hole. Murray seems like he has better vision. Randle was pulled on 3rd downs and short yardage, Tanner is supposedly the better pass blocker right now. Romo had a quiet 300 yard game, 2 ints. One was a cheap hailmary at the end of the half, the other was similar to the end of game Broncos INT where he is throwing with someone getting pushed into his lap. Supposedly Tanner was late getting out in his route and his man covering him is lead right into the path of Romo's pass to Beasley crossing behind him. Oh yea did i mention we knocked Nick Foles out of the game. Oline had a bunch of penalties, Free back to his old ways. Sean Lee, Barry Church, and Brandon Carr all had 4th Qtr INTs. Overall no part of our game was sharp but the Eagles were just worse. We'll take it.

See I was right about Free, I was just a couple of weeks early

OLine & DLine will likely be horrendous next year. Going to need to fill like half of those spots.

I'm starting to have a change of heart about Wilcox. Dude is pretty good. Church is growing on me, if god could see me now.

Thanks fellas, I'm hoping the boys are getting the confidence to start playing more consistent at this point in the season especially on defense. Glad to hear that TWill is getting better each week along with Beasley getting more action. I feel like we should hold off on a RB till the offseason if they plan on getting another one at all. No matter how we won today I'm glad we did considering that it was a Div game that put us on top. Defense is really going to have to be prepared next week for Detroit, can't have Reggie getting loose at all or Megatron terrorizing.

TWill  :pimp:

our defense looked good out there, but then again the eagles looked terrible too. even though it wasn't pretty, i'll take the win. next week our defense will be put to the test though, especially with reggie & CJ ( & the performance he had yesterday :x )

its big that we build some more cushion & try & pick up W's these next 2 games before NO.

also when we did run, randle did a nice job filling in for murray.

A couple of knowledge people on Twitter worked things out so that Dallas would be 12 million under the cap next year. They literally had it done in less than half an hour after that report came out. Jerry, Stephen and Jason will have 9 months to figure things out.

Restructuring Romo and Ware saves 19 million, cutting Orton and Miles saves almost 9 million.

Just the media trying to push that Jerry doesn't know what he's doing again. As I said earlier, these types of articles come out every single season. And every single season Dallas is able to do whatever they want in free agency.

Adding the Cowboys to any story brings hits. That's why you see something random like that bs Murray story pop up, multiple teams will need to work some cap magic next year, not just Dallas.

Just lazy reporting.
