THE OFFICIAL 2023 DALLAS COWBOYS OFF-SEASON THREAD || Cowboys Gonna Cowboy

The NFL thread has been the most entertaining stuff here in a while

Rodgers, healthy or not will pick us apart. Our only hope is that it's so cold that the passing game suffers. We also have to come out with points on just about every drive.

Weather is supposed to be 19 degrees. Been looking for a Cowboys ski mask

I agree we stand no chance in stopping Rodgers. But conversely I don't think packers stand a chance in stopping our run game..

If we play a clean game and control the time of possession we stand a good chance.

I like our chances, gonna have to score more than 24 this week tho.

I agree about the run game.

The one thing I do feel good about is that the ''playoff jitters' out the way. This entire team has never been to the playoffs besides Romo, Witten and Scandrick. They were definitely caught up in their nerves. They did not play Cowboys football in the first half.

Now on the road I think they are more focused with what is at stake. That's about the only thing I'm happy about. M

We also get McClain back...unless he's still ill

He has a concussion

Gotta stick with the running game and control the clock. Suh is an animal and threw Martin around like a rag doll. Packers dont have anything near that good of a run defense.

He has a concussion

That's tough. Cause he could very well miss this week too if he doesn't pass protocol. After a white hot start injuries have taken the pop out of Mcclains game. No doubt in my mind when healthy he's the man. This week more than any tho we need him to be the McClain that started the season. The McClain from the Seattle game. When he's flying around hitting hard the whole defense just looks different. His impact is crazy.

This was a BAD game by Martin. Probably his first negatively graded game this season. Which says a lot about his level of play. But it's a learning experience. And I agree, nobody on the packers front is being that disruptive. Not even clay. So I'm expecting a bounce back game from him.

I swear I've never experienced so much laughs on this forum these past two days. The tears, the forming of voltron with these random Broncos.seahawks, etc fans has been nothing short of fantastic. Can you imagine what would happen to this board if the Cowboys somehow won theSB? I swear there would be a few people that would off themselves

Classic.

Thanks. I'm not sure if I'll be wearing any apparel. I've never had issues at away games wearing Cowboys gear when I go the Giants/Cowboys games. But for some reason, I feel as if there might be a problem in Green Bay. Not that they are hostile, but I don't want to end up as one of those guys you hear about "Fan stabbed after game." :smh:

When I go to games other than in Dallas, I don't even stand up if we score. Just minor clapping, trying to remain low key. To many clowns without careers ready to engage in fisticuffs over grown men that could care less about them. Not sure what the city of Green Bay has to offer but I'll probably explore downtown a bit Saturday. If we somehow pull out the miracle Sunday, I'm heading straight back to the hotel room to converse with you guys

I'm a life-long Packers fan and the last game I went to at Lambeau was Packers-Cowboys back in 2010. The environment is amazing and I wouldn't feel worried about being "that guy on the news" at this venue. I've been to Packers games where people had Bears jerseys on when we weren't even playing them and they were left alone for the most part. You will most likely hear a few friendly heckles, but nothing demeaning (like say at a Raider game) Green Bay is pretty small but stay around the stadium and check out the surrounding neighborhood. It's pretty much a big party. Also if you want to save some cash drive around the closest neighborhood and people will be charging anywhere from $5-$15 to park in their back yards. Usually they'll invite you to tailgate with them as well in the garage and front yard before the game.

A couple of media outlets are interviewing my brother because he's heading out to Lambeau to rep.... ON THE LAMBEAU LEAP CORNER :pimp: :pimp:
He invited me but they are driving from DFW to Green Bay and I have to work the next morning. Oh whale!
Sunday can't come soon enough!

First and foremost, major props for being the only Packers fan on this forum responding to me  . Most just ignored me, despite asking direct questions. The friendly heckles I don't mind. Actually, I don't mind the extreme heckles. What I make sure to avoid is potential fights as I'm too old for that nonsense.

I'm about a 4 minute walk from the stadium so I'm relatively close. I was planning on cabbing everywhere though. How is downtown GB? I'm getting there relatively early Saturday. Anything I should check out during the day in particular (although I'm going to want to watch the games  ). What about at night? Clubs, bars in particular I should check out?

Definitely appreciate all the info you've supplied thus far. Much respect 8)

Most definitely man. Seems like there shouldn't be any issues. Guess I'm snake bitten from a close friend's experience in Philly.

Rewatching the game and the amount of calls that didn't go our way!!

You have NO idea how many calls they miss. The illegal block in the back on Stafford's run for the 1st down, the "offensive PI" when Williams got pushed into the defender, the hold on Ray J Bush's TD...

That's why the crying is LOVELY. Because we responded by scoring and putting points on the board. They responded by rolling up into the fetus position.

I don't think you should have to worry about fights. I think the reason Packers fans at Lambeau are the way they are is because they are some of the best travelers in the league and want to be treated well when they go to other stadiums. I've never seen any kind of problems at Lambeau. To be honest I'm not a local, so google will probably be more helpful than I would be. There are quite a few restaurants close to the stadium, everything seems to be relatively close to each other. Brett Favre Steakhouse is cool to check out, but definitely pricey. I usually just go and check out the souvenirs haha. If you can find some people to tailgate with that would probably be your best bet pre-game. Wisconsin (Green Bay) residents are for the most part very hospitable. As for after, my family lives in Milwaukee, so when I'm there I usually just trek back after so I dont have to pay for hotel  Gameday will really be like a huge party, so finding something shouldn't be too hard.

Hell naw.... every away game I go to I talk maaaaad trash, I'm not spending my hard earned paper to watch a game quietly and/or in low-key/laid back mode. I could post up in the crib and do that.

Green Bay's defense and offensive line is complete trash.

If A-Rod Da GAWD doesn't play a virtually perfect game and we play Cowboys football and control that damn clock we will get this W. A huge part of completing this task will be contingent on the whole team being focused meaning NO BONEHEAD PENALTIES/TURNOVERS. Romo identifying pre-snap the Dom Capers' unorthodox zone blitzes and the gapping holes that come with it in addition to not taking weak sacks where he just tucks it and falls down in those "2nd and 4" type situations will be the difference.

Clay is a beast but Peppers is washed, Hawk is trash, HAHA is cool but hasn't proven to be a huge difference maker yet.

Pep had more sacks than anybody on the cowboys, so I wouldn't call him washed. Obvious decline but 7 sacks is still solid and shows you get to the Qb, throw in some forced fumbles too.

Packers defense was like a tale of two seasons. First half it was food, second half it was pretty good. Clay showed his versatility lining up at the mike really helped solidify the run d, and he still got it done on the edge when they were in their base 3-4.

Their Defense isn't weak by any means IMO. Yea they have weaknesses you can exploit, but every defense does, even great ones like seatles.

All four of our losses have come to 3-4 defenses.

If RoMc and Mincey don't play, the offense will have to score TDs on every possession

I go crazy even in Oakland (I'm from here so I seem to get a pass plus I'm with like 15+ raider fans) that's why I go to games otherwise I'd watch at home

Hawk is washed he's a liability on the field that's why they play nickel 80 percent of the time haha is a rookie and plays like one he'll be food on Sunday

R.McClain plays I think T. McClain not lookin so good they've had Coleman playing his spot all week in practice

Why wouldn't mincey play?

Mincey also having concussion-like symptoms. Both have to pass the concussion test tomorrow or they cannot play. NFL is strict with this...

@VA757VA  don't let those empty numbers fool you, Peppers racked up 80% of those sacks in blow out games that were already decided... I pray they throw him out there in coverage with that 2-4-5 trash D. Capers runs from time to time, dude is washed.

I'm not going to sit here and try to convince anybody otherwise but I've watched this Packers team a good amount the past three years, if they don't overwhelm teams with their offense early on and/or if their opponent has enough proven talent to take a haymaker and respond their weak defense will keep you in it if you can fight back which is why I think this game is going to be determined a lot more by what our offense does from a T.O.P and turnover standpoint than anything else.

I've been talking about this all week! I want to make that trip so bad so I can see us melt that cheese.

Fpr some reason I had thought it was both McClain's with the concussions

GB best defense is the o and getting ahead so you have to pass this team will run all over them. I really think either lacy or Rodgers will have to have a career day in sub 20 degree weather this game will not be as close as last week
