THE OFFICIAL 2023 DALLAS COWBOYS OFF-SEASON THREAD || Cowboys Gonna Cowboy

I think we get an established DC. No way do we go with a rookie with the season we just had... At least you would think so.

Interested on you guys opinion on personnel. What you wanna do regarding Murray? Our DB's and D-line.

Think Melton is gone for sure, i would like to bring Crawford back. Mincey played good too.

Draft i wanna go the best safety or DT in the first round.

I think if we can't resign Murray then I fully expect AP to be our starting running back at the beginning of next season.

And I'm on board with a Safety or DT in the first, although I'm hoping LB Shaq Thompson slides down the board.

Wouldn't mind letting Murray go, he's a good back but we can get another hard runner to take his place especially with our o-line.

I do like the chemistry Murray has with DEz romo and the resf of the team. But we also can't overpay for a running back that just had 400 carries. If he takes a team friendly deal, great. If not then we draft another RB in the later rounds or see what free agency has to offer.

Only way I take AP is if he comes cheap. Remember AP is 30 and has been dealing with injuries for a while now.

The defense was held together with ducktape and elmers glue and we still got to a 12-4 session. Ordinarily that would guarantee you the bye at lease and possibly the number one seed. The NFC was loaded this year do unfortunately we were stuck as the third seed. But the future is bright for this young team. I just hope we get Romo his ring before he hangs it up...

I don't have optimism that this team gets more than 10 wins next year.

Without Murray we would have been 8-8 or 7-9. You won't just replace him with anybody.

Too early to say IMO. Defensive improvements will be key. T-Will's improvement will also be key need him to become a monster

even with all heart break L's we have taken over the years and what this team has been through yesterday hurt more then ever. I didn't expect much from this team going into the year but pride they shock the hell out of him

we have to fix this defense. LB unit is fine IMO, DB and DL needs big time work.

to me T-will is player he will always be cause he doesn't jump for the ball and catches the ball with his body.

really think this was our year to win it all, gonna be so hard to get back to where we were this year, people don't realize how hard it is to go 12-4 and get that far in the playoffs

we got a lot of free agents next year too

damn still bitter about the way it ended, never going to get over that if we don't win a Super Bowl with Romo

Dez and Romo went for the gusto on 4th and 2 like str8 Gs

If that ball is two yards further upfield it's a touchdown.
I kinda loved it myself, going for the jugular

like Red Rocket said, when you get to the Masters you don't layup on the green, love that attitude

Play calling cost us the game Sunday, on both sides of the ball.

Leading 21-20 in the fourth quarter and with Murray starting to pick up steam, Linehan decides it's time to start passing and let's the Packers defense off the hook.

In the preseason Jerry said he would like to see us be more aggressive on defense and blitz more. Marinelli's decision to not blitz and put more pressure on Rodgers basically made our secondary sitting ducks. By the fourth quarter he had found the weak links and went to work.

Too many wasted opportunities.

As a Spurs fan I thought the same thing after that Ray Allen 3.

I think we come back 11-5 or 12-4 next year.

I agree nothing g a guaranteed in the NFL but the team has a dominant o line that helps

Join Madden used to always say "it starts up front". Good O-line and good d-line can help you get deep into the playoffs.

Looks like Carrot Top will get a 5 year deal. He earned it.

Now let's see what Marinelli decides to do .. hopefully we can bring our entire staff back and keep that continuity.

An agreement was reached with Rod accoring to @rapsheet :smokin :smokin

I swear NT users love jumping the gun on Cowboys related news. Dudes need to sit down and stop trying to be the first to report news to a damn shoe forum.

"You're DC is going to Tampa."

 .. I'm at fault for that because I think I posted it here 1st, it sounded like he was gone until I found out we had 3 days to work out a deal. Glad he's back though :smokin

They're saying Marinelli will sign for 3yrs and Linehans deal is next.
Not sure what will happen with Callahan or scout Will McClay.
