THE OFFICIAL 2023 DALLAS COWBOYS OFF-SEASON THREAD || Cowboys Gonna Cowboy

I'm starting to think Dez won't have the monster yardage numbers we thought he was. Seems like teams are focusing solely on him. I'm OK with that. Because if teams keep doing that, we'll win 11 games easily.

This Oline has been absolutely outstanding in pass protection. I'd still go for a guard in the draft next year but man it feels nice to see Romo have time to work.

Good game. Feels good to be a fan this week.

The team I really wanna play is washington. Still sour from thanksgiving and on week 17.

Great game, we finally showed up with a balanced attack. Defense played great. Hopefully we can stick to the script. Regardless of how our division is doing at the moment, this is a must win against San Diego. We have to get our wins now so it doesnt come down to winning 3 games in December.

If teams want to do that to Dez fine, we will win a lot of games IF the other guys win their matchups. Dez takes away 2-3 defenders leaving the other WRs and TEs in 1 on 1s.

The line was great yesterday, but Murray;s vision was so much better and that was why he was getting so many yards. He saw the right hole, made the cut and got up the field. Trust me he wasn't doing that a week ago.

The DL has been nothing short of outstanding and honestly I'm shocked. At this point, I'd keep starting Selvie because he has a better chance of being here next year and play Spencer in a nickel role. Nick Hayden has been great too.

The problem is, Dallas needs to show up next week in San Diego. Until then, I am not sold on this team because I've seen this from them before. If they can go on the road and win next week, then I will start buying in. This is the year to do something because the NFC East is wide open and outside of Seattle, the entire conference is wide open for the taking.

Dwayne Harris muffed a punt, but I've been begging for him to get more snaps in the offense the dude just makes plays. Seriously though, that was a great throw though.

This game is crucial. Have Denver the week after. Don't want to start 2-3 and allow Washington to catch up. Philip Rivers has been amazing too. Won't be easy. I think San Francisco will bounce back but you're right, this is the weakest the conference will be for a while, have to take advantage.
I agree with Murray too. Don't think the line did anything special, Murray was just avoiding contact and hitting holes, hopefully he'll keep it up.

really it comes down to SF and SEA in the NFC, those are the teams to beat, to some degree ATL too but we should have beaten them last year and this years team is basically the same team as last year

Dallas should beat up on SD, they aren't a very good team at all, but knowing us we will make it a lot harder than it really is lol

SD has a poor OL, our DL should feast on Rivers

How about Wilcox? Looked real good, he's fast and physical, keep him out there

Oh I love Hatcher, but hes gotta get his damn hands down, he hit Bradford like three times in the face and only got called for it once

Last year it was 3rd and goal or 4th and goal in the Skins game and we stopped the Skins would've gotten the ball back for one drive I forget the specifics of the situation but he hit RG3 in the face and we got flagged for it and it was game over

He does it all the time, now getting your hands up to deflect a pass is one thing, but smacking the QB in the head is another, stop doing that Hatcher. I can't sit here and say Rod Marinelli is coaching poorly, because hes taken a DL and totally transformed them into a unit that is one of the league's best, but he's got to show his DL in the film room this week not to hit the QB in the face. Those penalties kill teams.

Loved Wilcox sent they drafted him. Hard hitting play maker. Had a pick that was only negated by a penalty on the lines. Hatcher did the same thing vs Washington :smh: Love him but he needs to clean that up

Draft class looking real good. Every pick made the team. Frederick, Wilcox starting, Escobar making plays, Devonte Holloman stays around the ball. Randle and Webb haven't really had a chance to show us anything but I like them. TWill just needs to gain an understanding of the offense, has shown the ability to get open since preseason.

Since 2010, Dallas has been one of the best teams in the draft / UDFA.

I think 2012 class sucks, outside of Mo there is nobody but I agree, since 2010 a very good job

I loved the Wilcox pick, but I thought they reached a bit, with Damontre Moore there, but the kid has the physical tools to be a good NFL player at a position we need help at.

Escobar scored a TD, but he beat a 37 year old LB on a go route, he's supposed to beat him. I'm still not a fan of that pick, but nice play Pablo.

Randle isn't even active and it drives me nuts, yesterday was perfect for him to play the last 8-10 minutes and see what he can do.

12 had a lost of missed potential. Coale, Johnson and Crawford all could've been contributors, but you can't contribute anything when you can't stay on the field.

PFF has Barry Church and Doug Free as the highest rated safety and OT this season :wow: :smokin

Claiborne: Targeted 6 times. 2 catches, 8 yards. 1 pass defensed.

Church targeted 2 times. 0 catches. 1 pass defensed.

WOW, thats very impressive, who would've thought that

Wasn't Free dealing with nagging injuries last year?
I know on several occasions I heard Jerry mentioning Free was playing hurt.

Yes, His pride was seriously hurt.

Free is playing better because we finally held this fool accountable. He's been wearing a ski mask since he moved to RT, collecting checks knowing no one was challenging his spot.

I think its interesting seeing the Giants fans complain about the same things we complained about last year but give Eli a pass in the same breath, but Romo got all the criticism last year.

FWIW, going back to their last SB run, though their running game was ranked last in the NFL in 2011, that was just the regular season. They averaged 117 yards per game in the playoffs compared to 89 in the regular season. Not to mention their defense with 7 takeaways...

Eli has two SB victories, so I can understand him getting a pass.
Anybody that expected that team to be good this year wasn't paying attention last year.
They went 9-7 and didn't improve any aspect of their offense or defense.

I spit my beer out last night when I heard Jon Gruden say "I love a CB who likes contact, loves to hit, and MIKE JENKINS HAS BEEN DOING THAT HIS WHOLE CAREER!"

not surprised about Spencer, what a waste of money that was

Mike Jenkins is pink cupcake frosting........soft and sweet, he likes to act tough though
