THE OFFICIAL 2023 DALLAS COWBOYS OFF-SEASON THREAD || Cowboys Gonna Cowboy

I'm all for Manzel too but I don't see him falling out of the top 10.

As far as coordinators go, on the offensive side I hope we go after Norv Turner or Rob Chudzinski ... Defensive coordinator should be Marineli but if he declines I would like Ray Horton, Jim Schwartz, and Ken Norton Jr as a dark horse.

What do you guys think?

Schwartz won't be hired they did that with Ryan and the personalities never worked out, but if it were my team I would hire him ASAP he's a great DC. Horton should get a HC job, Norton where is he coaching? I know he was at USC for a while as the LB coach right? I'm all for hiring former players, especially as one good as him.

Manzel should be an interesting topic to watch on draft night, teams may see him as a first round grade or nothing more than a mid round pick. I am very interested to see where he goes.

Norton is the LB coach for the Seahawks if I'm not mistaken. It all comes down to if Marineli wants to be the DC, I remember he said he didn't want all of those weekly responsibilities when we signed him last season.

didn't know Norton was up there, well I think we should take a serious look at him if Rod goes, like you said it all comes down to what Rod wants

As long as Kiffin is here I don't think Rod will leave. Only saw him leaving in the first place if offered the DC job by Lovie or if Monte quit.

Kiffin is good as gone, they will force him to retire and honestly he needs to go. I respect the man but he's just not up to par with the NFL now and he's behind the curve its like his defense is not in line with what you need to stop these offenses, maybe its personnel but I can't see a succesful zone scheme with our man corners.

The type of defense we should be running is Seattle's press man with a single high safety. When you have good man corners, you play press and that allows you to play a single high safety to patrol the deep part of the field and ballhawk, which we still need to get that guy. Then you drop your SS down closer to the box, we have that guy in Church. If we work on our DL, we can get pressure and then our secondary will be so much better.

Dwayne Harris just had shoulder surgery. Didn't even know he had a bad shoulder along with the hammy.

With that being said, Our Strength and Conditioning Coach is expected to return...

I'd rather keep Monte another 3 years than keep the S&C guys one more season

Callahan will remain the play caller next season :smh: :x

Demarco wouldn't last four games if he attempted to play like Lynch

GOSSSSSSSSH

Do yall really find faults in Demarco?

his vision improved so much, yet yall sayin S!!! like this.

I honestly would bet money Lynch averages more carries in the first half than Demarco has had in a game.

Are you guys pulling my chain or something????

He's saying that Demarco wouldn't remain healthy if he ran like Lynch which is true, despite the lack of carries this year he was still hurt.

:x :x |I

don't know how much more of the unbalanced offense / disappearing running game i can take :\

romo's back injuries have me worried at his age... i hope we're able to get a young backup QB soon just so we can be prepared for the future if these problems continue.

d-line a big priority in the draft :nerd:

Haven't seen this posted yet but,
As the second-place finisher in the NFC East, the Cowboys are slated to host the second-place team in the NFC South and travel to play the second-place finisher in the NFC North. After yesterday’s games, that means Dallas will have a 2014 home game against New Orleans and a road trip to play Chicago.

The dates and times for next season’s schedule won’t be announced until later this spring, but the Cowboys now know all 16 opponents for the 2014 season.

The Cowboys will host Arizona, Houston, Indianapolis, New Orleans, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Washington next season at AT&T Stadium.

They will travel to play Chicago, Jacksonville, New York, Philadelphia, St. Louis, Seattle, Tennessee and Washington.

As was announced earlier this fall, the road game against Jacksonville will be played at Wembley Stadium in London.

I'm betting its no or sf on thanksgiving.... I'll be there for the sf game with about 20 niner fans... in 09 I traveled for the raiders game with 200 raider fans hopefully this trip turns out the same

We got no breaks next year. Can't wait to see our MNF/SNF/ and Thanksgiving matchups. I'm sure it's going to be Philly week 1.

I'm unsure which home game to attend to, I don't want my first Cowboys game @ Jerrys world to be a loss. LOL
