THE OFFICIAL 2023 DALLAS COWBOYS OFF-SEASON THREAD || Cowboys Gonna Cowboy

Why/ how would a game that'll break every damn tv record a disservice?

I. I don't get it.

Y'all sound shook b. smh.

If the Cowboys played the Jags for the opener it would break every record
Even if we made it a game against Seattle, I'd still rather see them play another playoff team or divisional opponent in the opener, not some team that has no relevance to the Seahawks. San Francisco vs Seattle or Denver vs Seattle would be entertaining from a narrative viewpoint, and both would likely be more competitive. Dallas vs Seattle would find it way onto national TV regardless.

Well, last 2 home openers were....

Den vs Bal.

then before that..

NYG vs Dal. (that opener I have no clue why)

So Seattles opponent for their home opener would be 'wise' for a rivalry or someone they eliminated in the post season/superbowl for redemption = ratings.

chiacrack chiacrack can you take a look at Craig Loston from lsu as of now looks to be a mid rounder that doesn't stop us from going dl in the first(if value is there)

gonna start evaluating guys soon, since draft is pushed back to May I am delaying my process a little bit so I don't get burned out

if you guys have any other names or requests, just @ me on here and I will do a scouting report on that player

I'll take a look at Loston for you and do a scouting report, probably in a week or two but from what I know already, solid player, I have a mid round grade 3-4 on him currently, more of a SS but has decent ball skills for a strong safety type

Watched two Stanford games live this year plus parts of others on tv. Reynolds may be the best of this class in coverage, but doesn't play well in the box looks almost timid coming down hill.

I will start watching LSU games this week, a lot of young talent on that squad that should be available in the mid rounds(Jeremy Hill, Ego, and Loston)

Hill replaces Murray day one in my eyes

Ego may be able to come in behind bass

Loston is behind hill for lsu player I would be happiest to have on my team even though Loston fills a bigger need than hill

Damn, Stephen A Smith just tried to ether us...... he went in

Dude is a native New Yorker and Giants fan who got his sports career started covering the Eagles along with other Philadelphia sports for 10+ years.

His opinion regarding the Cowboys is irrelevant.

SAS is a Steelers fan. Been one his whole life.

Cowboys can't keep up with Seattle. Top 3 defense in the league. Kam and Sherman size up nicely with 88

told ya'll Seattle is in a world of their own, that team will DESTROY us, i'm talking scorched earther mother*******! (Tom Cruise Tropic Thunder)

seriously we can't roll with them, we ain't physical enough, outside of Dez, Tron and Hatcher we don't have that mean physicality Seattle has

sad part is, we could have Chancellor, we took Akwasi ahead of him

this team needs a lot of work before we can even think about going up to Seattle and playing for an NFC title

I'm still HEATED about that :smh: .. I was screaming at the TV when we didn't pick him.

I won't front, I thought Akwasi was going to be legit, but I did scratch my head as to why they passed on Chancellor a legit college player who played at a high level from a legit school

Man Seattle lost to Arizona a little over a month ago at home they ain't unbeatable.

Yall need to have more faith

Jimmie Ward is better and Dallas may be able to select him later than Loston.

Per Brian broudus
Ward was able to play guys in the slot, but he lacked that physical play, as I said. I do think he has good change of direction skills. He was one safety who played with his feet under him all the time, and that's one reason why he's able to play slot receviers.

Right now I see him as more of a nickel safety. I don't know if he's big enough or physical enough to hold up every down right now.

Different playing styles but if Matt Elam was a first-rounder, there's no reason Ward shouldn't go top of the third.
