THE OFFICIAL 2023 DALLAS COWBOYS OFF-SEASON THREAD || Cowboys Gonna Cowboy

I know this a bit far out but, I'd take a flyer on Darren McFadden. He has an injury history like Demarco but, he's still only 26 y/o, and GREAT at catching the ball out of the backfield. He's still a mismatch problem for slower LBs and S. Him, 'Marco, Randle would be formidable.

EDIT: We might not have enough coin to sign him :frown:

lol we ain't got no cash to sign anyone, i'm dead serious too

Is there any chance Ware gets cut? :nerd:

Ware has stated, through his agent, that he wants the Cowboys to make a decision by 4pm today.

The Cowboys don't have to abide by that, but I think they would respect Ware's wishes.

Get ready for Dallas to be all over sportscenter for the next few days if Ware is cut.

Just cut him. Tough decisions like this are made by good franchises EVERY YEAR

Like really. If you aren't worth what you're being paid, and you won't restructure, bye.

He'll be in the ring of honor one day and we can parade him around as an all-time great Cowboy later. But right now, it's business. If we can let Emmitt walk, we can let Demarcus.

Source: Cowboys DE DeMarcus Ware is currently meeting with the team. His future is in the balance....

Source: 3 straight days of negotiate meetings w Ware coming to head by tonight. #Cowboys very much playing #PayCutOrBeCut card @1053thefan

BREAKING: in current meetings w Ware, #cowboys tell him they 'will cut him if he doesn't take pay cut' @1053thefan

To hell with a restructure. Glad the Boys are sticking to their guns about either taking a PAYCUT or BE CUT. Ware is currently meeting with the Cowboys as we speak.

DeMarcus has struggled the last few years, been ghost in key moments, but he will be missed.

The Cowboys DLine this upcoming season.

I definitely feel some type of way, it's not going to look right seeing him in another jersey. I'm really surprised he didn't take the pay cut, he seems like an easy going guy. I guess things change when money is involved. I wish him the best and I'll still cheer for him as long as he doesn't sign with someone in our division lol

I think we're going to bring back Hatcher or Spencer. No way in hell we open up with a brand new front 4 on D, right :frown: ?

Unless spence comes for cheap idk about him staying. Hatcher is outta our price range after last season.

Ima miss dware man. Sad this is how it always ends.

Good riddance. I'm still mad about the way he yoked up Dez in that Detroit game

All kidding aside, he did great things for us but good teams make moves like this. We are still far from a good team and it was Jerry's mess that started all of this anyway but I'm glad we stood firm and didn't restructure.

:frown: I was alright with him being around one more year to see how it goes, but I aint mad about the cut. This team needs cap space to re-tool the defense. It says to me they have a lot of confidence in Marinelli with the DLine wiped out, with no projected starters as compared to last year.

I won't miss how he and Witten and all them dudes just sit on the sideline emotionless in games like that, like its cool to get rolled on or give games away

Looking like D.Ware is going to be a bronco, glad he'll have a better shot at winning. Enough of all that tho, time for us to make moves.
