THE OFFICIAL 2023 DALLAS COWBOYS OFF-SEASON THREAD || Cowboys Gonna Cowboy

I can't get too mad at the Frederick pick because he was so good during his rookie year but mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

:smh: :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh:

The Cowboys just haven't valued the Safety position for years. I'm just getting tired of the team trotting out these small school prospects and 3-6th round picks at safety and expecting them to hold things down.

With all that being true, it's still been the offense that has failed us.
A few key first downs and we finish at least 11-5.

From a certain point of view I see what you're saying. We lose a couple of games every year because of stupid mistakes made by the offense.

The thing is those mistakes wouldn't even matter if the defense was up to league average.

Mannnn, Heath I can't stand he got ABUSED by EVERY offensive player. AP, CJ81, Alshon, Every Saints Player.

Totally agree

So Spencer is expected to start the season on the PUP list

Forget everything I said about the Dline yesterday

Got 15.5 attempts per game last year. Number has to be 20-25 every game.

If he gets that many carries and plays 14 or more games, hard to say he couldn't get 1500+ yards. Especially with our line.

Give the man the ball. But we won't :frown:

Since a lot of people are blinded by the hype machine that is known publicly as ESPN, I decided to do some research.

Only 67yds separated the leagues worst defensive team the Dallas Cowboys, and the leagues 16th worst defensive team the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Only 56yds separated the leagues worst defensive team the Dallas Cowboys, and the AFC Champion Denver Broncos who were the 14th worst defensive team in the league.
The Houston Texans were the leagues 7th best defense last year, but finished with the leagues worst record.
This further proves the point that this is an offense driven league.
If your offense can score points and your defense can make TIMELY stops, you can beat pretty much any team in the league.

We still lost a few games due to horrid defense late. Lions most specifically. The difference between us being 8-8 going home to watch the playoffs, and 10-6 in the playoffs was the defense.

We ranked 13th in First Downs.
5th in Points
4th highest FG%
T-9th in fewest giveaways.

We by no stretch of the imagination had a bad offense. Lions game, and Broncos game.. Offense put us in place to win the game. Defense failed.

True our offense looks great statistically, but time and time again they couldn't sustain drives.
One of the most frustrating games in this thread was the Lions game.
Defense made a stop and all the offense had to do was get a first down.
Instead they went 3 and out and gave the ball back to the Lions, and that led to an unnecessary loss.

Bruce Carter need to be in the middle anyway.
Time for Sean Lee to get the
1000

:smh: :smh:

Now we have to depend on our 4th round pick Anthony Hitchens .. HOPEFULLY this isn't anything major but when it comes to Lee we all know how this goes :smh:
