THE OFFICIAL 2023 DALLAS COWBOYS OFF-SEASON THREAD || Cowboys Gonna Cowboy

Dez dropped a key 3rd down pass then didn't make a play on the ball to end the game. But he is the first person to get in the face of the QB and offensive coordinator and demand the ball, this team is filled with cancer

Of the last 7 that we've lost.

We could have won 6 of them. It takes some real talent to lose every game that was close.

Dez is a proven commodity. He has that authority. T-Will drops 2 passes per game. Wilcox gets beat, once per game. Witten breaks 0 tackles per game, our LBs/Defensive Line gets more INTs than our DBs...

Dez ain't the problem. Dez has missed 5+ games, and is still our player giving the most effort. Him and Byron Jones (a rookie) are the only guys playing hard...

Not saying Dez is the problem but I'm so tired of him throwing Terrell Owen fits on the sidelines and locker room but dropping passes in key moments of the game. He has talent but all the extra stuff he does doesn't help. This team has more issues than Romo not being there.

Romo is eating Karma pie, for not taking that pay cut for Demarco.

He did restructure his deal to free up money, but the team waited until April.

That's besides the point, they were not going to pay DeMarco what he wanted.

We need that passion. His locker room tirade was warranted. That reporter said a racial slur, serves him right. Our team is soft. Dez is the only one who battles, on every play. I'll take passionate Dez over Witten, or Romo, who have 8+ years of glitz, pro bowls, stats, and ZERO Super Bowl appearances.

Without Dez, we'd be 0-16. This team is to conservative and finesse. Deserve to lose, until the mentality changes. We don't intimidate anyone.

You blame Dez for one play, what about the whole 4 quarters, and the other teammates? Who did nothing, all game?

...and that's why we are 2-7, released the opening day starter, had to trade for a Michels, and had to sign Darren McFadden... and our running game sucks. And has regressed.

Demarco was exceptional in blitz pickup. Romo got hurt... on a blitz

There wasn't a RB in the backfield when Romo got hurt.

Lance Dunbar was definitely in the slot, at receiver. We were in an empty set. Why? No running game. Randle was playing awful. When you're a pass happy offense, that's what you get.

Yes, because we never ran an empty set when Murray was here.

You got it chief...

So we going to ignore him not attempting to catch that last ball or him yelling at Cassel on the sideline after every drive? If that's passion and authority, no wonder the other players have a lack of discipline.

He is doing everything we hated about T.O

We've always ran 5 wide/empty sets. I know. So what's your point? We were division champs, made the playoffs twice, with him as our feature back. We are 2-7 now, and probably won't make the playoffs.

We run 5 wide/empty set/shotgun, OFTEN, where have we gotten? Draw plays, frequently. The same mundane offense. What are you getting at?

Why was Randle released? Beyond the off the field stuff, they banked on him, and lost. Deal with it.

The truth is in the middle. He did get pushed in the back b4 the ball arrived, but if he went up and high-pointed the ball like he usually does, it would have been too obvious to not throw the flag

Have you cried about Terrence Williams dropping passes? Or your DBs not getting interceptions or causing turnovers? Without Dez, what is your alternative? Who will replace Dez? If Dez is such a problem, Jerry Jones should have let him walk.

Of all players, you complain about Dez.

And T.O. played in a Super Bowl, with a broken leg, and put up 10 catches.

That Super Bowl was not even with the Cowboys, ironically

Same question and problem they had with T.O, they cut him and won a playoff game the next year with Miles Austin as the number one. They shouldn't have paid him in the first place, what's the last super bowl team to win with a Diva Wide Reciever? The Pats, Seahawks, Steelers, Giants, Saints, packers all won without whining receivers that think their more of an impact than they are.

Miles was a Pro Bowler that year and the following year and got a big extension that offseason. Dez was gonna get his money either in DAL or somewhere else. That's going rate of a elite WR. Kinda simple to say in hindsight also with the season going the way it has but whatever. All those teams your named have either had elite level QB play or other units on the team that were playing excellent to take some relief off the QB or both in there super bowl years.

I agree. He should be very humbled after his play today but knowing him he won't.
