and why is it impossible to find a pro model in black with white stripes?

damn near impossible! I know one spot that sold them with the good tumbled leather, but they're down to the last size (7). They just got in a FSR of the crappier leather jawns, but its not the same ]

I found my NYC edition Superstars and they are completely clean, except the toebox is completely yellowed. Any way to clear that up?

care to share your spot? i can't find them anywhere in any kind of leather(crappy, tumbled, snake or otherwise). and i have the exact opposite problem as you. i want to yellow the mid sole and shelltoe of my superstars so they look like the vintage releases. but i would try retrobrite it works on whitening AF1 mid soles which is a similar material to shelltoe rubber.

came out in 08, they went for over $130 if i remember correctly. the box is a fold over magnetic closure style, 2 pairs of laces (fat and regular) and an trefoil keychain. got mine on ebay for $50 shipped.
