and we're done

It's so many things. I ultimately think it won't work. It works in spurts. Some games 'Melo buys into the ball movement, but when things don't go smoothly, he reverts back to what he knows. They really need a pg that can give it to them in spots and can switch it up and run when needed. This would satisfy Tyson and Amar'e alike when all they have to do is box out, and run baseline to baseline. Thing is, they could have developed Ray the FIRST time he was here and not traded him. Management screwed up the chemistry he and Amar'e were developing. You could have added Tyson to that and they would have been fine. Of course the X factor in that is the addition of 'Melo. You need a veteran type PG to pull him to the side and tell him how to take shots. As we saw how Chauncey did with him in Denver and now J Kidd. Felton isn't a strong enough leader to tell 'Melo to shut his *** up and get to a spot. That's what he needs. I would say CP3 is ideal for this spot but unlikely. So they are stuck now. I know you guys are gonna hate me for saying this but I don't think Woodson is the answer either. He's done a fine job, but he's never gone beyond the second round. Maybe he can get it done this time, idk.

I agree with you when you say Woodson might not be the answer. He keeps his players accountable, but he doesn't have the offensive schemes to put Amare, Melo and Tyson together for an entire game.

We have to work with what we have, and right now--I'd rather take Amare working with the teams in spurts than having him doing nothing at all.

Any production out of Amare is better than him sitting on the bench. Woodson needs to treat Amare the same way Thibs treats Boozer. He'll play him in key moments of games as long as Boozer plays defense and rebounds.

^ You're right, he doesn't have the offensive schemes to keep it interesting. This is a coach who basically had a 6'8" team in Atlanta and kept getting beat by an average Orlando team in the second round. He's a player's coach, yes, but he doesn't have the star's ear completely. This man let Josh Smith and Joe Johnson dribble and shoot threes and had no real design of a half court offense, which you need to win in the playoffs. That being said, expect to see Earl dribbling in more circles and taking quick and off balance 3's and more of the same in 'Melo's game. It works, but it's not consistent. If they both go cold, like they have done so together in Denver, the ship be sinkin' and quick. If nothing else, I don't know why he doesn't tell Melo to go to the basket. He's quick enough, strong enough and can draw contact, but he'd rather get the step on his man, then pull up. It drives y'all crazy when he misses those I know. But when it goes in it's great.

Crazy turn of events tonight. I was talking so much smack when the Knicks had that lead, and once Boston went on that run, my heart dropped. It was '04 all over again. :smh: Things have to change come second round. This isn't the same confident Knicks from the regular season. Coach Woodson is proving to be useless in these situations. He has to do a better job of subbing in players at the right time and take a better offensive approach to the tight D they've been facing and will continue to face against the Pacers.

I'm just so angry at Prigioni for not coming into the NBA when he was younger man. Dude would have been great. NBA teams need to go after more European professional talent, these dudes just know how to play.

I told myself I wouldn't buy a new Knicks jersey cause I'm not a fan of these jerseys, but Prigioni is making it hard for me. Might have to buy a home one.

Angry at priggy??? U should be mad at d'antoni for not wanting him. He could've been a knick much earlier. Google that and read up on that.

He said it popped back out last night again. But I guess he's saying he's good to go...

**** it. Bring on Amar'e. WTWTCH

Carmelo's shoulder has me nervous.

JR and Iman need to drive to the hole. Iman gets scared and JR is slowly going back to just jumpers.

2nd round, bout time.
Not going to lie, I have some concern about these
Pacers. They're a physical group and we're banged up.
Q Rich and Copeland need time on the court.

i'm still thinking about how we almost blew it last night

i've always low key admired paul pierce, but glad we could bring garnett one step closer to retirement

Smh, almost started rooting for bos when the 26 pt lead was cut to 5. I stepped away for 2 mins to get ready for dinner like we got this, came back it was a 9 pt game. That was damn impressive though, them ****** got heart.

na. I would never root for Boston in anything but I damn sure wouldn't root for them over any NY team.
Glad we got the W but still feel a certain way about losing that lead plus the series going to game six in the first place.

I just started laughing like a maniac. It's weird knowing you're in a moment like that, that could destroy a generation's childhood. :smh:

I mean, we were seriously watching the new 8 points in 9 seconds for a minute there...

This was a good introduction into the competitive playoffs though. First time we're really competing in a while, now we know it won't be easy and chill on those young playoff team antics.

Friend of mine put up a pic of himself in all black next to pics of Smithand Shump wearing the same  :smh: . Can't play that game against the Pacers, or further if they make it.
