New company "Solavei" has launched Unlimited 4G Voice, Text, & Data for $49mo/Details to get first m

Man all I can say is yall get what you pay for with all this prepaid crap. If youre the type that can get by with having zero customer service more power to you, but I've seen so many people with these prepaid carriers looking sick when somethings wrong with their service and they have nobody to turn to.

I got VZW paying 150 after tax for 3 lines, its not cheap, but I enjoy the piece of mind.

I have straight talk unlimited everything, the only issue i had they made every effort to correct it. You stay tethered.

I've always wondered what would happen if all the little fringe companies joined together and formed, like, an NWO of wireless service, breaking all the price fixing rules, actually providing the service they advertise at the price they advertise, say $70/mo unlimited, and generally taking over. How long would it take for damn near everyone to jump to Amalgamated Value PCS?

That'll never fly because AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint own much of the infrastructure (towers, antennas, etc..) that these smaller companies use. They'll get shut down quick.

I made the switch to Cricket after Sprint kicked me off for using too much data. I don't see ANY drop off whatsoever. I'm paying $55 for unlimited everything now where I was paying $100 unlimited with sprint AFTER discount.

As soon as I get a Nexus for the price I'm looking for I'm gonna switch to Straight Talk though.

I don't see what the issue with the prepaids are... How many times do you call customer service? I try the best I can to NEVER call customer service regardless of who it is.

MOST of these prepaids are using spectrum owned by Sprint, Verizon or ATT anyway. So essentially youre getting the SAME SERVICE for HALF the price.

Sounds dumb to STAY with your giant company phone if you ask me, especially if its for customer service reasons.

Makes sense...should have known the answer was that simple and concrete. Still, it's shame for the consumer...

Damn man how much data where you using to get kicked off Sprint?? I average 10gbs a month and no throttling or threatening messages

^^^ I was paying the extra 30 for Tethering and used it as my home internet. I was averaging probably 20-30 gigs a month.

My thing was, i was PAYING the extra 30 and they still kicked me off. I didn't care I got my EVO 3d to sell with no penalties. Their loss.

**PS Nice to see that avatar I made is still working for ya Derry. I forgot all about that! DERRY JUICE :smokin

Straight talk >

Getting 10mbps of unlimited data on ATT HSPA+ network with unlimited text and unlimited calls on a Galaxy Nexus for $50 a month > Sprint, T-mobile, Verizon, ATT

Sounds good. I went from Sprint SERO (They royally screwed me after my HTC Touch Pro 2 went to crap and they suckered me into hopping onto a Blackberry, thus, voiding my old SERO contract.) to Virgin Mobile last July when the Triumph came out. It's an android phone that I can mod and I get everything I need for $25 a month. Only thing that sucks is that I get only 300 minutes per month and have to literally cut people off during a convo if they start rambling on.

to be honest this is going to go nowhere.

i worked for tmobile for 4 years then simple mobile on the corporate side for 6 months before they fired me becuase they hired too many incompetent higher ups. mvnos like this solavei and others like it are a dime a dozen. there are literally hundreds of them out there and they constantly pop up all over the place. i see some people saying that they will eventually take out the big 4 but thats never going to happen. how mvno's work is they literally rent the tower space from the carrier that they primarily support. they set up agreements with those carriers on how they go about there business. for instance, simple mobile can not sell there products in best buy and other major big boxes because it could cut in to tmobiles bottom line there. straight talk which is probably the best option for people looking for a deal can not sell there $45 unlimited everything plan ANYWHERE except online. that is because they are one of the only carriers that allows you to choose whether you want an att or tmobile sim. with straight talk you can literally use any phone on 3g or 4g networks. most mvno's are either att or tmobile not both.

if you really want a great deal, just order a straight talk sim online and use it on your iphone. its unlimited web (soft cap around 5 gigs if you constantly over use it) on att or tmobile and no hassle with plans changing without you noticing it.(h20 had a $60 plan that originally had unlimited web then changed it to 2 gigs, then 1 gig, then 200 mb then back to 1  gig all without every notifying there paying customers)

Got my sim card in mail today. Im currently using the service on my mytouch 4G slide. I will be back to report how it is and so forth. They are still offering to waive activation fee & 2nd month free to those who sign up before midnight tonight.

Pictures of packaging.

Announcement: Beta Appreciation Offer Extension
created by rudybourcelot in Solavei Support Community - View the announcement

We have had thousands upon thousands of new members enroll into Solavei in just the last few days with so many of you taking advantage of our Beta Appreciation Offer. Today, as I'm sure all of you are aware, there were millions of sites impacted and brought down by Cyber Hackers and Solavei was intermittently impacted for approximately 4 hours.

I know that many of you, based on the emails we received, were unable to enroll new members. So, we have made the decision to extend the BETA Appreciation Offer until 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on September 11th!

I wanted to give report of experience with the service to date. Ive been using the service since the 10th in beta stage. They only obstacle I faced at the start was issues sending picture messages via mms but that seemed to correct itself over 3-4days after I started using it. Most phones will have to be manually configured to operate on the Solavei data and phone networks. The website provides simple steps to setup your device for this.

Since data is probably the most common feature that will be used, I continuously ran speed test to measure data. In areas of great reception, I was getting 4mb-8mb consistently. I even tethered my phone to my pc via usb and was able to get same speeds. I have not tried wifi tether tho. So far everything has worked great. I cant say anything bad about it yet even with being in beta. Service officially launches to public tomorrow. If anyone wants to get on let me know.

just a screen shot of my phone on the network.

Yeah man this is the best and only PS anyone has ever done of me ahaaha

If I ever paid my bill on time, and wasn't stuck on T-Mobile for another 13months I'd convert in a heartbeat. Especially with the Nexus 4 about to drop
