The Walking Dead - Official Thread

First, we tahmbout how writers handle characters in The Walking Dead. Not the media in as a whole.

Two, it aint' gon' get locked.

It was a spirited discussion about how the TWD writers handle characters of color,

its not nearly contentious enough for it to be locked.

We'll all be able to discuss this terribly written show for many weeks to come.

I'm Dominican and why must everything turn to race? Like fools pushing everything now to be about that .... Anyways, what was up with ol red hair dude before that chick fell from then tractor? Looked like he was sick?

Great episode. Noah got murked nasty. Hopefully many bodies are caught in these last 2 episodes.

Gabriel deserves one of the nastiest deaths. How you gone tattle on the group that kept your clown *** alive this whole time and you got REAL skeletons in your closet.

the first black dude who look like ZBO was borderline ******ed... tyreese, where do I begin with his Tom foolery, going ALl the way to the governor days he was never solid mentally, very weak minded individual. Noah was okay but he had his ****** moments as well. The pastor is an idiot... Bob was a drunk who almost got himself and others when he first got on the scene.....

They also had...

-a white racist redneck
-a psychotic white little girl
-2 old men who just provided good moral quotes, other than that were very useless
-a white one-eyed power hungry sociopath
-a bunch of cannibals ALLLL white.

They don't only portrait black people as incompetent, weak or grimmey....characters of all colors, ages and genders have gotten that treatment...just stop it man...

Let's not forget about the two white wifebeaters they've had so far.

And Lori who was flat out useless. And Andrea's nameless sister. And Beth.

Apparently there's an invisible cast of all white people who are all outstanding human beings that we don't know about.......

Catch up in the comics and let everyone else know what you feel then before reaching conclusions.

Let's keep the black agenda thing a joke, and just enjoy the show. Michonne will be around for a while, looks like they're going a different route with the Morgan character, and whose to say what they do with Sasha. I doubt they kill her off because she's pregnant in real life.

Hell, if any race should be upset it should be Hispanics. Besides Martinez and Rosita, we haven't seen many since season 1, and their roles were/are small. I remember reading we may see more of the family from season 1, probably will touch on it with the other show.

I completely forgot about Martinez's group. There was three or four people in it when they left, right?

 Bruh The Governor killed Martinez and took his group

Are you referring to the first family? Not sure if the dad's name was Martinez, but yeah it was 4, his wife and two kids.

I'm more outraged at the lack of diversity in the walkers. If the baby gets to stay well fed in the middle of a famine and water shortage, we should have fat walkers too.

We don't make it a big deal and enjoy the show for what it is..

Race is a factor when there hasnt been a black male character thats had longevity on the show. Its similar to how black characters always die first in movies, especially horror. At this point I think TWD writers are purposely killing black male characters to russle jimmies

T-Dog was around for 3 seasons.

Tyreese was around for the better part of 3. Very very close.

Tiny was around for fifteen seconds.

Morgan's been alive for five seasons.

The rustling in this thread  I find it funny that that that agent black, usually white, always come to disprove anything that a black person said regarding race and lack of representation or misrepresentation. Most of the time it's jokes, but yall still have to defend and deflect, why?

Being pregnant in real life is perfect to kill off her character. Watch her die on sunday
As for Morgan, they didnt want to pay him his season.
