The Walking Dead - Official Thread

The zombies have to start dying off according to zombie lore. The bodies should start decaying too much for them to stand and move. It would be nice if a fresh more nimble batch came to be. Like what if they saw a zombie from a distance thinking they could just walk away, turn around, and see that think running full speed at that  would be nuts

Zombie lore? You talkin the comic, or what lore you referrin too?

This is easily the best season since the first. The show has changed producers many times ( 4 I believe)and I think they finally found the right guy in , Scott Gimple. The worst season was 2 when they spent the entire time stuck on the farm and listening to Herschel talk about farming. Though the season finale was insane with Shane and Rick going at it like some Stone Cold vs. Rock championship match . IMO the show is at its best when the group stays moving. I dont read the comic so I am only speaking as a fan of watching .

Def thought one of the characters from season 1 was gonna die. I always liked Glenn but man I was pissed he didn't cap that chump.

I don't see Morgan staying around long , especially after watching Rick execute that fool.

The spinoffs title is weak but I can't wait for the actual show!! Bring it on...

i understood the title once i thought about it. its unimaginative sure... but its FEAR the walking dead because that whole shows premise is based around what happened leading up to and right as the zombie infection started. its more about the fear leading up to it and as it starts happening through the city and nation. a good way to change the direction. you get backstory finally on how this happened. i just hope the show is written well, cuz that companion show they used to have online for walking dead was booty cheeks

A previous poster stated why do we only see dogs? In season one Rick's horse gets feasted upon when he goes into Atlanta & has to find refuge in the Abrams tank, then a few seasons in I am pretty confident I've see a scene where they (the zombies) were feasting on a deer (or deer carcass after they scared off the hunter)

With regards to Fear The Walking Dead, I would think that AMC is now going all in & cashing in on the mania that TWD has created... Enough funding/budget to run two shows is awesome.... Be nice to see new characters & plot devices from the left coast.

I've found that in TWD they are pretty isolated in terms of movement after having left Atlanta (still SMH @ the miracle self filling gas tanks, infinite ammo, perfectly coiffed hair, etc) - next season when after they deal or are dealt with by the Wolves I'd like to see an overview episode where a "survivor" from another farther part of the US brings them up to speed on what's up elsewhere in the country

FTWD has a lot of potential. My biggest fear is that zombies themselves don't show up at all and they cover the build up for too long in typical WD fashion.

no no no, you missed my point, I'm not saying why do we only see dog animals, we've seen plenty of other animals. I asked why do we only ever get zombie dogs. Typically in these labs they experiment on monkeys but we never get zombie monkeys. Closest we got was 28 days later and the rabies monkeys.

in regards to FTWD, I absoluely love when zombie stories start at the very beginning. So often we start right in the middle and pick up after the destruction and evac. I love when people think its just a cold. Little isolated incidents. The fear. It can be amazing if they construct it correctly. Dawn of the Dead did a great job with it. And with tv, it can go much slower and really create a panic. You know when breaking news and **** pops up, often times people just flick the channel. I can see them playing on that concept. People being completely oblivious to whats going on in the news until its too late. I just dont want the season finale to be when we finally see walkers. But imagine the discovery and people not knowing how to kill them at first. Geting attacked by family members and friends. And not knowing its the head, so giving up a ton of futile body shots. And the CDC panicing trying to create a vaccine. The show has a crapload of potential. It can really do everything TWD missed out on. Hope we get zombie kobe.

Hmmm seems like other people not just Black people notice this as well.
They're just pulling the "race card". :rolleyes

^ I see your point now, I thought you meant the "food" that the zombies preyed on outside of humans - yep, the vehicle or method of transmission from 28 Days Later was our simian bros... Which leads to two other questions; do mosquitoes not exist in the TWD universe & take infected blood from a walker & could infect a survivor? & also with such close contact with walker kills how Rick, Darryl, Sasha, etc. not get infected during CQC with the walker blood all up in their mucous membranes?

Guess I have to suspend my disbelief for good TV

Everyone is already infected though. Bites just end up killing you.

As it's dormant, once you go....you come back

Agreed. I would love to know WHY everyone is already infected even if they haven't been bitten, etc.

That's actually where I thought they were goin with the finale, I thought when the old guy got his throat cut, RIck was gonna let him turn in front of the others so they could see what's really goin on outside them walls.

They let the opportunity go, because Deanna was right there with her husband, he was going t oturn as soon as Rick blew Pete's brains out.

The new series allows the old one to end with what they have now with no problems. The story doesn't need to get any larger in scope because FTWD look like it'll tackel that problem. Pretty smart move by amc

Absolutely.

Let Fear be the brains of the plot/story/background

And let Rick's crew just be the brawn and give us cool wars and such.

I could definitely see that play.

Exactly. TWD doesn't need to dive into the why anymore than it already has. It's nothing more than the story of Rick and crew and what they had to do to live. The new series will take care of the rest, or at least I hope so

I hope so too but I'm worried it'll just be the same. People living together for a season, except this time the farm will be in California, until they have to relocate to a prison.

Wondering why people don't live on islands already.

They gotta know if they try to follow the same formula, they will get killed for it.

They know they startin from the beginning, I expect a lot of doctors, and media reporters, and maybe come FBI types tryin to find out what's happening, before the actual outbreak takes place and bodies start droppin like flies.

I don't need a band of 10 survivors on the run, etc. We already got all that. I want to see the how and why this all went down, and what let to the day Rick woke up and everything was ******

i wonder if we're actually in LA, or if we're still filming in ATL. We're supposed to be just out of DC on TWD, yet, they're still filming in Georgia.

I'm pretty sure they would have to know by now that all the dead turn, even with being inside the walls?
