The Walking Dead - Official Thread

Kinda hard to tell but the guy Glenn let out had long shabby hair and tattoos on his face. The guy at the end had a slick back hairstyle, looked a bit shorter. It could be him but it's not very clear
yes...the guy w/ the slicked back hair was from a clip from the past. When the dudes took back Terminus, they imprisoned him which is why he has long shabby hair.
did they confirm he's dead tho?

i mean i assume so because the walker tackled him, but they never showed him actually showed him get bit

and glen killed the walker pretty quickly afterwards...

or maybe it wasnt actually negan and just some other guy they locked up?

So who was attacking Terminus before Carol got there?

The shooting that Tyrese and Carol heard was Rick and the group shooting at the Terminus people prior to getting locked up in the container. Basically just showed what happened at the end of season 4 from Carol's perspective.

I like the first episode but it was way too much too fast. They should of least did an episiode on terminus and their crew before the shoot out.

I thought someone was going to die in the first episode. Someone should of though, group is getting too big.

Man, if they stayed at Terminus for more than one episode, folks would be pissed. They'd say it was the prison or the farm all over again lol.

That said, I'm glad they got the hell out of there right away. This show is more interesting when they're out on the road.

I think this season will be epic. I feel like Gimple is settled into his role and he's gonna steer this show in the right direction. Last season was better than the third, so I can see this season being the best since S1.

Fans of The Walking Dead, both on and off of this website, have spent months theorizing and hypothesizing where the series is heading in Season 5 and beyond. Tonight’s excellent season premiere sent the Internet into a tizzy several times, and one of the biggest questions people are asking involves the possible inclusion of the Walking Dead comics’ biggest and baddest villain, Negan. He appears to show up in a flashback scene at the end of the episode, but I’m sorry to have to break it to you guys: that wasn’t Negan.

That’s what creator Robert Kirkman has to say about it, as you can read below.

In the pre-credits final scene, as Gareth is telling his mother that everything is okay, a hulking figure steps from the shadows and into more shadows and says, “No, it’s not,” as he gets violent with his club. Now, because the scene is shot in almost complete darkness, you can’t really see what the guy looks like; only that he has slicked-back black hair and muscles. Both of those qualifiers certainly describe Negan, but this guy also had face tattoos.

You might remember seeing the guy earlier in the episode who leaped hysterically out of a Terminus boxcar, only to immediately get mauled by zombies. He was one of the people who took over Terminus for that temporary period before the cattle became the butchers. It’s the same guy in the flashback, as also confirmed by effects master Greg Nicotero on Talking Dead following the premiere.

We do that know Negan is coming, as showrunner Scott Gimple is planning on bringing the vicious murderer to audiences at some point during the series' run. But as far as we know, they’re still in the process of finding an actor for the role. The Strain star Kevin Durand recently shared that The Walking Dead reached out to him to see if he’d be interested in taking the part. Not being familiar with the comic, he didn’t seem particularly enthused about it, though he would be excellent in the role.

Personally, if Gimple and Kirkman are as confident in this season’s effectiveness as they have been post-Season 4, I see no reason to rush into Negan’s storyline midseason. Like the Governor, he’s a character whose fear factor is directly tied to his lack of morals, but Negan is an absolute maniac, whereas the Governor knew his manners. He'll be a superb character to root against, but let’s get all the way through the Terminus storyline before heading to that epic story arc. And anyway, Morgan!

I knew the black cat from season one wasn't dead! That is him right? The one that was In The house upstairs that was crazy or whatever?

I always pictured Danny McBride playing Negan

Good episode. Only issue I had was that they didn't kill the guy that was setting up the fireworks earlier. There was no need to keep him alive.

Cutty did kill him. He beat him to death.

The episode was still confusing to me

that would been too easy. i was hoping tyrese took off in the vehicle with the baby and they write him off. a couple of years later, they find him with the baby all grown up, she calls him dad, and tyrese kills rick when he attacks him.

The fact that people have to explain the carol scene took place DURING the Rick scene :x
The show has been so bad that ppl naturally lower their iq when they watch. Can't blame them.

It was just a mere different perspective cutback scenes.

(he's the one who had the separated shoulder that Rick gave the watch to while he and Carol were on a supply run)
no lie, at first glance, i thought that was Carol with a new hairdo
I thought this was the Penguin from Gotham but just with blond hair

how did she blow up that tank up with a firecracker? some bad makeup and effects but entertaining episode
Carol has pretty much established herself as one of the best in the game. From walker head shots to burning everyone who ever coughed near her, that scene didn't even surprise me :pimp:

it is.  same actor

I assume it was some sort of gas tank. She shot it once to open it up and then aimed the firecracker in the direction so the sparks would cause an explosion.

At first I didn't get it either but I wasn't paying as much attention to it on the first watch.

Good. I knew I wasn't bugging out. Couldn't get a good look at his face during those scenes and then he died pretty quick.

The tank was a propane tank. She shot it 1st which caused the leakage. Then launched the firework towards it. Keep in mind that when a firework explodes, the firework can have an explosion radius probably greater than 50ft. Which would have been plenty for sparks to ignite the propane gas, without much accuracy needed.
