The Walking Dead - Official Thread

Am I the only one that's glad those two little twerps were killed off?

Their acting was atrocious. The show just got that much better without their acting stinking things up.
We hating on a pair of little girls flourishing in the world now? Well damb COLE WORLD

I don't hate the girls, just the acting.

I honestly believe their acting brought the quality of the show down a few notches. Plenty of good child actors/actresses out there. Makes me wonder who their parents knew to get their respective parts.

Just my opinion bruhs. I'm not gonna hand out compliments just because they're children.

Just because you liked it doesn't mean it was not lazy

I don't care about carol or those two girls. Story didn't advance any except to show how crazy lizzy was and two very creepy killings. Of course the usual close encounters.

Ok like the top 6-8 characters are not even in this episode. That's kinda filler to me.

at baby walkers SMH
that's been the trend since the mid season began. I find it interesting that all episodes are happening at once and not in a sequence, and it does give the illusion that these groups are completely isolated, even when they are relatively close (like this episode: Daryl and Beth, Carol and Tyrese). If they were to bounce back and forth between each group in one episode, the progress would feel like forever since they would only cover short distances within each episode. And it will also be difficult to follow the goals of each group and how far they covered since each group would have little air time. So i think they played it smart by having each episode soley focused on a single group.

See...when I see stuff like:
This ep. was as good as a BB ep.
That's just all types of wrong.

It's like....I mostly just turn the part of my brain off, that's seen...anything on HBO...Breaking Bad...the first 5 seasons of Dexter...anything really good tbh. I watch TWD the same way I watch Family Feud or Adult Swim, cuz people living in a zombie world is always gonna be interesting to me, even though this is basically the CBS version of a good show.
I stated previously that I think this show is a 5/10.

Hit or miss.

Last week's episode was a hit, therefore it's as good as a BB ep.

Last week's twd ep.>BB's fly episode.

Have you read the comic?

That fly ep of BB was STUPID

I loved BB but c'mon sons, it had at least 1 or 2 bad eps and that fly one was plain silly

completely agree, i'll never understand the hype for that episode at all. it was complete filler, they even said it in the commentary. They felt like they had to use the super lab set more so they filled an entire episode with it

Thank god Carol offed Lizzy, she was gonna get them killed in the long run and props to Cutty for not killing Carol after keepin it a hunnit with him.

I was kinda mad I didn't see Daryl with his new crew but we shall see next week.

They are definitely far from bad actors. The directors and Melissa Mcbride saying they're gonna go far = bad acting. Gothcha.

The problem with The Walking Dead is that it's probably the most inconsistent show I have ever watched. You have to turn your brain off a little bit to enjoy this show because if you look at it from a realistic point of view, nothing they do makes sense, at all, ever. The writing....the writing sometime reaches high school creative writing levels but other times it's up there up with BB. I have no idea what's going on with this show.

Did you notice every time Mad Men comes back TWD sucks? Mad Men must be STILL eating all of AMC's budget, which I don't understand at all. How can a show about business men need a bigger budget than a show about a Zombie Apocalypse? It shouldn't, but it somehow does.

glad to see those girls gone
wish Cutty would have offed Carol too

this is the second time ive seen them show a house that was obviously being lived in by someone
had a charcter acknowledge it but not show who was living there.

or, was the person that kidnapped beth the ones living in that house

wish theyd of killed beth too
tired of the dumb stuff shes always doing

i think whoever lived there was the walker mika killed

nah
im talking about the house (or morturary?) Beth and Darryl found

it was obvious that someone had been living there very recently
even going as far to put makeup on walkers

Beth got kidnapped and Darryl went off to find her so we'll never find out who it was.

the other time was way back in season 1 or 2.
Darryl found a house in the woods that someone was living in, he thought it could be Merle

they showed the house a few times
had the characters ackowledge it but never showed who it was

i thought carol was gonna tell tyreese about what she did to karen when they were out in the woods talking about his dreams and what not. the moment she let off a pause, i had a feeling this was it for baby girl. i definitely think if she decided to tell him what it is at that moment, she would have been seen tyreese with the hammer

Now that I think about it more, one of the funniest lines ever delivered on television was Carol telling Lizzie that it's a bad idea to make Judith into a walker because she's not old enough to walk yet.

Maybe next season we'll get some baby walkers.

Lololol

I'm probably one of the only people that thoroughly enjoyed that fly episode.
See...I'm with you. That's what I don't quite understand, cuz I remember being in the NT thread when it aired, and just about everyone there thought it was great. One of the very best episodes. But then I start looking around online, and people are like...most polarizing episode ever... What?

Yeah, it was a bottle episode, but it was Breaking Bad. They managed to fit so much smart character progress and symbolism into that episode. And the acting and directing were still top shelf. If anything, they challenged themselves to on storytelling and came out with something really memorable. I don't get it. People either hate it completely or think it was 1 of the best episodes.

I remember in the last weeks of Lori-hate, most of us were hoping her baby would turn into a walker and eat its way out. :nerd:

edit: whoops

Speak of the devil... I don't even remember saying that  babies crawling out the walls and ceilings. Throwing them 20 ft. Would be amazing :pimp:

I thought it showed how top notch the writing and acting on the show were.

That a filler episode about essentially nothing, without the normal scenic background could still be entertaining.

I think I had been binge watching the show to catch up before season four. After the fly episode, I thought this is truly a great show and I see why people have been praising it.

Why would I care about the opinions of people who have vested interest in boosting the show?

There wasn't a single scene either girls have been in that wasn't cringe inducing. If you want examples of great child acting, check out Christian Bale in Empire of the Sun (1987) or Natalie Portman in Leon: The Professional (1994). They've obviously went far but they showed great talent early on. I'm not here to say these girls won't go far, but if they do, it won't be on the merits of their performances on TWD

And hell no, the writing on TWD has never, ever reached BB levels. People need to stop with these BB/TWD comparisons. That's apple to peanuts.

Breaking Bad is a masterpiece, TWD...nah

The actors on Mad Men command more $$$.

Yeah, I don't have high hopes either for the final two episodes. Hopefully I'm wrong and they deliver, unlike last years waste of a season finale. :smh:

for some reason, this sounds like an nba thread. the officiating sucks, the nba is rigged, proceeds to watch. lol

drop off from season to season, but im still entertained.
