Mario Kart 8 at Target for $34.79 with $1 towards Smash Bros pre-order

Target (store only not online) will Price match Amazon.com if the price is from Amazon themselves and not a reseller. Currently Amazon has MK8 listed for $48.79 so Target matched at the service desk.

Target also has a deal (3rd page on their circular) where you can get $15 off ANY game $39.99 with at least $1 towards ANY pre-order. So I took a pre-order for Smash Bros Wii U and MK8 and it rang up $34.79 + tax.

You also get a $5 Target Gift card when you pick up your pre-order and these are new (not used) copies so they still qualify for Nintendo's Free game offer.
I see this was posted 2 days ago. Is this offer still running? If so I'm going to target right after work. See you guys on the track

Question: I want to buy a pro controller but I'm kinda broke right now. How does it play on the gamepad? And how does it play with the pro controller? Am I good with just the gamepad for a little while? What do you guys recommend? I'm probably eventually gonna get 3 pro controllers for MK and Smash so all my homies can play.

Personally I think MK works better with the gamepad. I'm not too fond of the Pro controllers for the Wii U, definitely looking forward to those Gamecube controllers.

CAPCOM NOW OPEN TO BUYOUT
A third party could take over the company if it buys enough stocks
.

Capcom announced today that it will not be renewing its takeover defense, and is now open to a buyout, should a third party company buy a large enough share of Capcom stock.

Up until now, Capcom's takeover defense, which was originally instituted in 2008, has kept any company from acquiring Capcom directly through its shareholders. This method, known as a hostile takeover, is now possible following the shareholders' decision not to renew the countermeasure.

The company said it "will react to take steps to ensure disclosure of the position of the board of directors," and also make sure "there is sufficient time for shareholders to examine the proposed large-scale purchase and reach a decision."

In April, Capcom began construction on its second research and development center in Osaka, Japan after announcing a $78 million plan to expand and increase focus on internal game development. The plan also included hiring 100 new developers per year, in the hopes of having 2,500 on staff by 2022.

As for existing Capcom developers, Street Fighter IV producer Yoshinori Ono announced yesterday that he is leaving Capcom Vancouver, where he most recently worked on Dead Rising 3. Although it's unclear whether Ono is leaving Capcom completely, he did say he needed time to think about his next step.

Nintendo has resisted acquiring Japanese developers before, like Square and Enix before they merged. I would expect them to do the same here.

Question: I'm looking to cop Twilight Princess. Should I cop on Wii or Gamecube? I heard that it was just ported over to the Wii and there wasn't any significant difference. Wii version doesn't support classic/gamecube controller so I was leaning toward the Gamecube version. Gamecube version price though

I just started Twilight Princess for Wii U last week, I think it's pretty awesome, got Skyward Sword too. Was too busy with the PS to finish them before.
