Forgot to tell you guys. If you grab the Rainmaker and jump off the stage, it resets back to the middle of the stage. It's a good strategy if the enemy gets too close to base.

Thing is dope, red and blue pre-installed. Downloaded yellow too. I do not remember red and blue being in black and white. Thought red version was red and blue version was blue. I must be tripping.

If you had the OG brick gameboy it was for sure black/white, which I think Nintendo was trying to go for. Gameboy color is when we started to see colors for the pokemon game. Hope that helps.

P.S. I heard if you press select it changes color? I dunno try it for the 3DS. I'm waiting for a Nintendo eshop card to go on sale wanna save a penny LOL.

Apparently, the Missingno and Mew glitches still work in the Virtual Console releases of R/B/Y. Been seeing lots of Mew pics on Miiverse.

Yea they haven't touched any version of the game. Any graphical differences you see, as well as the networking stuff, is all done via a .patch file which the emulator uses upon boot.

pokemon first came out in 96 in Japan on the OG gameboy and it was black and white. If you played it on the OG gameboy or Gameboy pocket it was black and white. By the time it got to the us, gameboy colors were out so most people picked the gameboy color up with Pokemon red/blue. I remember my cousin had an old fat GB and his had the green tint to it( which you can switch on and off on the shop version)

Anyway, I can finally get my Machamp, gengar and alakazam. Back in the day only like 2 kids had link cables and then my school banned them because kids were complaining to their parents about being scammed in trades

I'm part of the reason Pokemon cards got banned from our bus in middle school.

Man, I forgot how awful some of these Gen 1 movesets were. Nidoking doesn't learn any good STAB moves.
