I stopped by the Nintendo Switch event in DC on Sunday. Got in line around 6:50am to for a waist brand and to be placed into a session(thankfully I got their earlier enough for the first session).

Where we waited just to be placed into another line.

I'm going to skip a lot of photos since I don't feel like telling a story but I'm down to answer any questions about the event and Switch.

So as we walk into the the actually event after the grand countdown.

(Also it's inside joke with the homies about the pro controller and why I sound so excited

The pro controller is worth it and the feel does not feel cheap. I played about 5 matches with the pro so a good amount of my playing time will be with the pro vs the joy-cons.

Overall experience was fun. We only had a 1 hour and a half  vs the people that went on Saturday getting 3 hours of playtime. I was able to play

Sonic Mania which felt like the old Sonic 2 but I also did not play the new stage.

1 2 Switch I played the gun showdown and samurai match but at the end it's a cool party game.

Just having the opportunity to the play the Switch a few weeks before launch in a eventfully environment. While not being stressed on a mental time clock of having a line of people behind you waiting to play as if you was at retail store (Gamestop/Best Buy).

Did you use a single joycon turned sideways at all? If so, how was it comfort wise?
Yes I was able to play bomberman and a few other games with the joy-con sideways. Felt more comfortable than I expected but also growing through the evolution of gaming it was not hard to adjust. The analog felt good it's just adjusting your figures to use the command button next the stick.
@Suberzat1 Did you play with the joycons in that holder? Is is that much worse than a pro controller? Im not trying to spend $70 for a pro controller.
Yes as I was leaving I played Disgaea 5 in the holder and even with the good spacing from the two joy-cons. I would prefer to play with one joy-con over the holder.

Was bomberman puzzle based like the original games? Or was it a platformer like bomberman hero? :nerd:

A1 post suberzat1 suberzat1 I'm surprised so many people have said the joy con sideways is comfortable. Watched a couple of YouTube videos and it seems like ARMS is catching on too. I wish they had this in Houston.

Yeah Arms is so easy to get into I seen moms on the game whopping their kids.

I went in with the techie approach and my girl dominated me. I guess that was payback from our SF II matches earlier

Just got an e-mail this morning from Best Buy saying that the Charging Joy-Con station is delayed until 3/31 now.

That Switch UI video got me super hyped for it! Can't wait to play with it in like 2 weeks, I need this in my life right now lol.

Sounds kinda promising if you didn't preorder and want to cop day1

Also all the Toys "R" Us stores are selling the Switch on a first come first serve basis so there is a good chance to get one 3/3 if you want one. Just call to make sure ahead of time.
