 at dudes canceling pre orders for the Switch becasue Virtual Console is not there day 1. If ya'll really cared that much about the Virtual Console you would already have a Wii U or a Wii.

Dudes searching for any reason to justify "canceling" the Switch pre-order. Buying a Wii U instead of Switch just to play Zelda BOTW??? Really? This has to be one of the dumbest things I've read in this thread.

Spending $300 on a dead system to play one game.... Yea that makes sense.

But to each there own...

I mean I was buying the system to play all the games, since I haven't had a Nintendo since 64 but ok

I guess that's my bad for assuming it had games out rn

Well it's not like there's any other games, outside of Zelda, that appeal to me launching with the Switch. I'm not paying $300 to play Bomberman and 1 2 Switch

Personally I was looking forward to VC because of the GameCube games. I missed out on quite a few back in the day. I already have a Wii U so I'm good with playing Zelda on it. Not to mention, PS4 and Xbox are stacked with new games early this year.

So why didn't you get the Wii or Wii U when they've been out for the last 10 years? Just seems knit picky to me....

But like I said to each their own, I highly doubt this news makes or breaks the console's success.

Great points for waiting to pick up a Switch when more games come out, but buying a $300 Wii U for 1 game makes sense??

You might as well cop the Switch if you gonna do that...

spottieottie305 spottieottie305 never really wanted a Wii. Wii U I did want but it had the game droughts. Now that the games are all out, it's not like it's a bad purchase. I actually wanted to play a lot of the games.

Like I said I'll still more than likely get the Switch next week anyway since I don't need a lot of games yet with the other consoles/PC  plus they'll bring all the Wii U games over I'm sure. That's what they should have had ready for launch honestly

I feel you bruh... The Wii U had some dope content. The purchase is justified if you're looking to cop a handful of exclusives for the system. I just couldn't see spending that money on a dead system for 1 game.

As for GameCube games, go ahead and peep the Dolphin emulator for your PC if you really need your fix for free... OR if wanna go the legit way, cop a cheap Wii and play Gamecube games on there. It's backwards compatible with all the peripherals as well.

Because it saves people the trouble of having to find one down the line

What's the difference in paying $300 now or $300 in 8 months? You're still buying the system either way

I completely agree... If you know you're going to get the system anyway why not cop at launch. Cancelling a pre-order for a system that is damn near sold out worldwide seems counter productive. At least gift it to one of your NT fam or selling it for profit? All signs are pointing this system will be hard to come by.

It's might even be worse come Holiday when Mario drops... just sayin.

Didn't fall for the ps4 hype; copped a year later.
Didn't fall for the xb1 hype; copped a year later.
Didn't fall for the wiiu hype; copped years later.
Not falling for the switch hype.

Lesson.... You should never buy things based on hype. Buy what you feel has value to you. If a console has games you like to play, cop. Simple as that.

Didn't fall for the pc hype; waited a year to observe the pc world. Then I copped.

Same strategy I'll use for the switch.

If I was a Zelda fan I'd agree and would of just charged it to the game. Decided to use the money for something else. Once the summer hits and Mario kart 8 and maybe splatoon are out I'll be on the hunt. Switch Mario Odessy with Zelda and I it'd be a different story for me personally.

Edit: these might be a ***** to find though

If I had the funds I'll invest in a PC. They seems to be the best place to play multi plats simply because they offer the best graphics and online functionality.

I respect it... :smokin

I would emulate all of it if the process was perfect  played some 64 games a few months back with my PS4 controller :x wasn't unplayable by any means but it wasn't a 64 controller.

Speaking of, I never wanted the NES mini or any of that **** because that is easy to emulate, upres and all, but damn if I wouldn't hop on an N64 classic :smh:

That was your own hype  PC doesn't really have hype beyond new GPUs and to a lesser extent CPUs

You might want to cop a N64 PC controller. You should be able to find a decent one for $20 or less.

700

I actually looked into them. Almost all of them are terrible for various reasons, mostly the joystick. I was told the best option was just to get a real controller with an adapter, but I'll just wait until I can get the games I want on VC

That was your own hype

PC has hype(importance of building your own pc, "exclusives", and modding).

Pcmasterrace fuels said hype.

I didn't care about any of those things before building a pc and still don't care about those things now.

Never modded.

Can't name a pc exclusive I've played for more than 10min.

And building your 1st pc is a pain in the ***.

PC's hyped as the promised land for gaming, but it's not.

...yet.

N64 Classic? Nah, I'm good on that. That might be Nintendo's worst console for me. If done right and with 3rd party support, SNES classic would be GOAT.

dont really see many standout differences between the switch and wii u..maybe its just me

N64 was my first main, and only Nintendo home console, so it's always gonna hold that special spot  second only to PS2 depending on the day
