i have both one i recieve via exchange from otterbox and went out purchased lifeproof...

pros and cons for both...

lifeproof pros... waterproof, (up to 30 feet and can still be used for music/camera underwater for up to 30 minutes), dirt/sand/snow proof... and also anti vibrating and thinner then otterbox... also anti shock.. meaning if it is bumped into etc... it doesnt affect what your doing. can take a beating not to the extent of otterbox but normal drops etc.. be it hard floors concrete etc.. the screen/case can be clean easily by just dumpin in water and wiping off with the included shimmy cloth.

cons... you have to keep up with this thumb tack size can that goes over the earplug at the bottom and if u have large hands can be a itch to screw on to prevent water damage, dirt proof etc.... heat etc.. tends to bubble up the screen so it doesnt look as smooth. its a pain to put on and off, and it is a tight fit to put the charger connection in the small alloted space. also the cover makes it hard to press the volume and power button, and you cnt use the silent switch in the case. 60 day warranty/exchange also you have to use this water proof earplus connector that only works with headphones meant exclusively for use of apple products. doent come with a beltclip

otterbox pros... it is extremely durable offering 3 layers of protection... lifetime gauranteed and will ship you a new one no questions asked without you sending back the old one. you can easily use all buttons and it is relatively easy to get charger connector inside. comes with bely clip that swivels

and has the phone faceside out. touchscreen very resposive and is made out of this plastic similiar to what is used on backyard basketball goals. could literally drop this badboy on a rock from a roof top and wouldnt even effect the case let alone the phone.

cons... interfers with reception due to 3 layers... isnt water or shock proof, the small crevices in the case allows dirt etc... to get in thus making lil marks on phone. the rubber eventually starts to deteriate, and the plastic 2nd skin eventually wears down. it makes the phone rather heavier... limited in colors and designs and the plastic use over the camera lens cover tends to get scratchy and effects viewing when taking a pic... case screen cover easily gets smudges marks that need to be cleaned with the same stuff you use to clean laptop/tv screens

I just got the iphone 5 and I really hate that stupid short cord, anyone has any suggestion where I could get a longer one, maybe about 6ft long?
I know the Apple cord has a stupid chip in it but I really just need it for charging anyways so any cheap, working cable will suffice.

thing is those "cheap" cords tend to i guess have shortage in the wiring.. I mean you could be sitting charging and it will just stop. Or like it will flicker ie... the charging symbol will come on and off if you like move/barely touch it. Sometimes your cpu will recognize it and times it wont. ANd ususally they will just fizzle and die. But for about 60 or so % cheaper it sometimes is worth it. I know griffen makes a decent one. The walmart ones are somewhat ok. But to be honest none of the 3rd parties work as well as apples.
 
Using the white incase slider case for my white iphone. Best white case I've bought so far for those that like the white on white look. 
 
How much did that rose gold bumper cost? It doesn't show the price in the link.

I ordered a cheap $10 bumper. It's been difficult to find a good quality, rubber bumper.
 
My white case got really dirty and then to top it off my screen protector started coming off so now I'm going raw and scared out of my mind any suggestions for a sharp looking case would be appreciated
 
Gold bumper looks nice but if its metal it will kill your reception. The external band does not play well with metal cases, I learned the hard way.
 
man.. had the white and clear poetic atmosphere case. After a day in my raw denim, the case turned light blue :smh: :smh: :smh:
