There's a difference between watching a good player put up numbers on a terrible team... and watching a future top tier/elite player put up numbers on a terrible team.

I don't think everyone is saying Kyrie is the best PG in the league or a superstar (however you define it) that if you need a win tomorrow you're taking him over everyone but Lebron... but he's got the makings of an elite player in the league... with personality, marketing appeal, exciting play, etc.

Kyrie shoots 46%, 40%, and 85% as a 20 year old carrying the entire team. It hasn't resulted in a huge turnaround in wins right now... but Durant was putting up numbers on a terrible team for a couple years, then he got some teammates and won 50 games. Kyrie will likely take a similar path assuming the Cavs don't whiff on another draft pick.

And George isn't in the same situation at all.. he's a very good young player but there's a big difference when you have an elite defense behind you compared to what Cleveland has

Can you go one day w/o mentioning Paul George?

No, he's one of the better players in the league, and the best player on my favorite team, who also is the #3 team in the conference. I see Kobe, and Lebron, and Blake, and Kyrie, Westbrook, Durant, Kyrie, Will Bynum, and plenty of other players mentioned on here....

and why would you know who I talk about everyday anyways? Who are you?

Kyrie for a 20 year old carrying a team is really good. But we have no clue how the future will turn out with him, and whether the cavs make that team a contender. Problem is, for me a "Superstar's" biggest component is winning. Right now he isn't winning, so he can't be a superstar and depending on whether or not you value wins in this department, he may not even be an all-star. The jury is still out on whether or not Kyrie's style of play can produce a winner. He's in his 2nd year though, so all of this is premature but at present day, he's just a really good young player in the league.

And George isn't close to an elite/superstar type of player. Indy will make a mistake if they try and make him their cornerstone and build a team around him. He's a really good piece to have on a team though. Jack of all trades kind of guy.

what would make him close? He is arguable the best defender at his position (very arguable), he has increased his scoring, while maintaining steady production in every category, and has shown the ability to take over games on the offensive end, whether its with his shooting, athleticism or passing...Idk, i could have homer blinders on, but dude has the looks of a potential top NBA player...and supposedly he's been voted by the coaches as an All Star reserve

george is not a superstar or elite player, your going to fall in the same trap you did with Danny granger

Kyrie will be a superstar in this league for many many years and these last few pages will seem ridiculous.

Kyrie will go out like Barron Davis, Francis, and TMac. All that talent one to waste due to a trash team. Happens all the time
