OKC still does not match up well with a healthy Miami.

Keep believing that...Laxt year's series turned on a couple of plays. While LeBron is still the best player in the world, the gap closes year-by-year between the two. Miami's role players are still awful for the most part. That series still turned on a couple of plays. OKC matches up well with anyone at this point. IF they meet Miami its def not a 5 game series again thats for sure.

I don't think the Thunder have enough inside scoring (like the Grizzlies do) or ball movement-shooting (like the Knicks do) do to really combat an engaged Heat defense. The Heat defense will just blitz Westbrook and Durant like they did on Christmas day.

Agreed. I don't see OKC beating Miami in a seven-game series.

Dallas was able to pull off the upset because they had a plethora of great perimeter defenders that they could mix-and-match on Wade and LeBron, and had an absolute stud of an anchor in the paint, while on offense having guys who not only spread the floor, but guys like Barea, JET, and Kidd who really made it hard on Miami to keep under control when there's so much emphasis on Dirk.

Until Wade falls off, I don't see OKC being that huge of a threat to Miami.

A healthy Chicago is probably a bigger threat.

I mean every single game, you can point to a losing stretch of "coaching" from Brooks that lost it or put us at a supreme disadvantage.

Beyond the whole starting 2 bigs together while Miami is going small thing the whole series and refusing to adapt the entire series, when you have a coach who will sit there and watch an 11 pt lead turn into a 3 pt deficit with KD and Russ on the bench sitting beside him before putting them back in the game, he puts us at a disadvantage. Playing Derek Fisher 30+ minutes, too much Perk and not enough Collison, never using timeouts to manage leads and crowds, and worst of all to me being smug and stubborn about it in postgame and deflecting all the blame onto the players. Dude literally said something like, "those 5 need to have dinner together and talk about it and look in the mirror," when asked about the infamous double digit deficits our broken (at the time, obviously this yr players have improved) starting lineup gets off to.

what would make him close? He is arguable the best defender at his position (very arguable), he has increased his scoring, while maintaining steady production in every category, and has shown the ability to take over games on the offensive end, whether its with his shooting, athleticism or passing...Idk, i could have homer blinders on, but dude has the looks of a potential top NBA player...and supposedly he's been voted by the coaches as an All Star reserve

Players are already being notified of being selected as a reserve?

good question. I really dont know, the official list doesnt come out until next week or something I thought (?), but Frank Vogel said he had been selected in an interview I heard with him, and Paul George had alluded to it in a couple interviews

I am just very dubious of Miami heavily relying on Battier, M.Miller, Chalmers and Jesus this playoffs...Even Bosh has seemed out of it this year for a large part of time. While I would still prolly take Miami in 7, I don't think its a bad matchup for them at this point.

uh, am i supposed to say something? i dont care for Griffin.

holla at me when he stops acting on the court, hes gotten a lot of practice since hes got a few commercials. good for him.

All griffin is, is a dunker. Nothing more.. he's nothing special. He has no post up game, no mid range jumper and no three point range. Whats so special about him? Hes just lucky he is playing in this era cause in the early 90s he would be nothing than a benchwarmer with his limited skillset

KD just took a **** on us tonight.

Are we still gonna pretend that melo is "thebest scorer" in the NBA?

I want Rose to come back and Indiana get better so the Heat won't have an easy road to the Finals like they did last year and year before that.

even last time Chicago was 5 games and out. They are probably worse without Brewer, Korver, and Watson. Good luck having to rely on Rose just returning from injury (remember LeBron held him to 6% last time) and Nate Robinson.

Took the words from me. Nothing that OKC does makes Miami that uncomfortable, what you see is what you get. KD and Russ will make plays and shots because that's just how good they are but if anything, OKC's style plays into Miami's hands more so than Memphis, NY, SA, Chicago, or LAC. They just happen to have a better star(s).

And unfortunately for them, Miami has the best.

No you stop.. The coaches pick.. I think the coaches should pick jennings.. You can argue against it and I can too.. Jennings is balling.. The bucks are winning.. Give him the nod.. What, holiday averages 3 more assists and 3 more to's.. nothing stellar about his or Jennings A/TO ratio. his points are similar to Jennings and the sixers have a losing record.. Why does he get to go over jennings?? Tell me .. No seriously.. Why?

Two pointless things that people on here love to talk about: HOF and the All Star game.

joakim elevated his gm
boozer playing solid
kirk, butler, rip, Marco make up for those losses. Asik was hurt and the gms were still close
still can beat the heat inside
unfortunately, they prob won't get home court

have you even seen the bulls play this year?

and yall picking holes in why OKC cant beat the heat in the finals like the heat are the same team from last year. there defense is worse and they rebound even worse now.

New York is a team I really think can challenge in the East this year, especially if Rose isn't healthy come the Playoffs.

Kidd and Felton really bring a dimension that really helps them out in the Playoffs. Now Iman is back, they're healthy, and Amar'e is slowly working his way back.

I really think Chris Andersen can be a HUGE addition for Miami. A stud on defense, and someone to rebound the goddamn ball.

I was speaking more on the fact that you wanted to base a spot on the All-Star team on ONE game as opposed to the entire season.

But just to play, Holiday is shooting better from the field, plays better defense (more versatile defender, Sixers give up less points when Holiday is on court vs off court, while the Bucks give up more points with Jennings on court vs off court) and is a better passer (Holiday averages one more turnover than Jennings but hands out three more assists) all while the offense is completely ran through him with Bynum out.

Jennings falls under the "he's playing at an all-star level, but not good enough to be an all-star."

Kind of what Josh Smith has dealt with his entire career, except not as good.
