That Shaq trade killed that Suns team. No need to bring him in when he didn't fit anywhere near Pringles' style of play.
That really annoyed me.

He wanted to force his style of play on a team that was sooooo much better the way they were constructed.

Traded for a washed up Shaq then fired D'Antoni for Terry freaking Porter to base the entire offense around old *** Shaq like this was 2001. Completely stifled Nash's production when he was the reason they were special in the first place.

Then when it all inevitably failed he quit soon afterwards. He foolishly killed SSOL & will forever be a clown for that.

Was wondering the same thing. Why wasn't Iggy on Curry since game 1.

And yeah they need more shooters.

Brewer was just awful. Made me wonder why he was in the lineup all the time. Dude can't even check Steph.

To be honest no one can check Steph.

When he's on, he's on. But they should've at least tried. Kinda slow him down in a sense.

he has a quick release and is basically launching from 30 ft. i do think he has trouble with physical guards.

btw, what is the market for iggy? how much is he getting? do you think he has helped or hurt his cause for a big pay day? he's been in the league for a while and i still dont know if he is a 2nd option on a good team or maybe 3/4. his defense is on point but his offense is so inconsistent.

4 gms tonight. terrible scheduling by having two gms at same time.
at least stagger the times for 4/5/6/7 o' clock starts

^^^ I think he's a 3 or 4th option on offense. He was counted on to do too much offensively for the Nuggets and it hurt them because he's just not that great of an offensive player. I wouldn't mind having him on the Clippers though. We could use an elite wing defender and he could be the 3rd offensive option behind CP and Griffin. But I don't think the Clips can afford him unless they move some other pieces (Butler, Jordan).

He has a player option for 16 million next yr which he would be a fool not to exercise

Iggy would be ok as a 3rd option on offense. 4th option at worst. I do think he's be best used as strictly an elite defensive player at this point. He needs to be on a team that can still sustain without his offense.

Just quit. :smh:

1000

:pimp:

Dudes ain't up on G Karl history lessons.

Hate to keep baggin on the guy, but this stuff needs to get said. I’ve racked my brain trying to figure out how he survives this and keeps the label as being a “good or great coach” Then I figured it out.

Seattle
Milwaukee
Denver

He coaches in cities with low demand, low media presence. If he coached in Chicago or LA, he would get destroyed within 3 years.

So here you go, in depth, updated.
SIX teams in the history of the NBA have won 31 of their final 40 games and then lost in the first round of the playoffs. (meaning, they go into the playoffs BLAZING hot.)
3 of those 6 teams are George Karl. LOL
74 Bucks
94 Sonics GK
05 Nuggets GK
07 Mavs
08 Rockets
13 Nuggets GK

He just took a 57 win team that as mentioned had won 31 of their last 40, against a 6 seed, first time playoff head coach, 3 rookies in their rotation, lose their second best player in game 1, have Homecourt advantage, with the Warriors having a bunch of first time playoff performers, and lost. LOL. Jarrett Jack was the playoff “veteran” of the group. (Richard Jefferson too, but he is out of the rotation)
In the series, the Warriors went NUTS in the 3rd quarter of every game, and the Nuggets tailed off in every 3rd quarter. Halftime adjustments by the rookie playoff coach, vs a 25 season head coach???
And if not for the great Andre Miller game winner in game 1, that series could have been a sweep. Golden State outplayed them in 5 of the 6 games only truly losing the game 5 in Denver where they basically played asleep so they could just get back on their homefloor to close it out.

Karl has now lost from every seed in the first round. 1, 2, 3 and 4. All Homecourt seeds, lost in the first round with each of them.

25 seasons coaching, over 1,100 wins, he’s 80 and 105 in the playoffs. .599% in the reg season, .432 in the playoffs. LOL
13 playoff series wins. Just 13. 22 playoff series losses.
His “best” playoff seasons, in two and a half decades, he has only FOUR years with at least 10 playoff wins, they read…….
13-8
10-6
10-8
10-9

Hardly impressive runs. He has won TWO playoff series since 2000, both in the same year in 2009. That year they lost to the Lakers in the WCF. Two of those games were swung when the Nuggets failed to inbound the ball, after a timeout, in which he draws up a play and tells his team what to do, twice, in a two week span, his team failed at that task. In the playoffs, NBA level players.

He’s made the conference Finals with all 3 teams, guess that’s a positive, course that’s in 25 years, so………

In 2004-05, he took over Denver at the midway point. Went 32-8 an .800 winning percentage!!!!!!!! Lost in the first round 4-1. LMAOOOOOO

His final year in Seattle, won 61 games, got pushed to a game 5 in the first round, survived, and then got destroyed by the Del Harris Lakers 4-1 in RD 2.

His win totals of years he lost in round 1

63
57 (twice)
53
50 (twice)

Every, single, year, “this team is different” “Nobody wants to face the _____” “They can make a run to the Finals” etc etc etc. Every, year.

There's no way Iguodala is testing free agency with a $16 million player option looming, right?

No other team should give him even half of that.

Karl gets a pass now a days because he is a cancer survivor and gets the teams to the playoff , had he ever missed the playoffs in his coaching career ?

reporter to hollins, "how have y'all managed to keep DeAndre Jordan off his game?"

hollins, "what is his game?"

And no one is giving $10M to Iguodala for his defense with the new CBA. Maybe if he still had "potential" and was 24-25 years old. The guy is 29 years old and was pretty average like his last 3 years. Tony Allen will probably get offered $5M a year from Memphis for being the best on ball defender. I don't expect Iguodala to get $5M more just because he can handle the ball better. His shooting is terrible and even worse than Tony's, especially his FT shooting.

Iguodola would be an idiot not to finish his contract, he's going to make 15 million next year alone, become a free agent next summer - not now. His options won't be any different a year from now.

Dumb move by him, if he goes thru it.

is Nate Robinson a bad teammate? Why is he always on a new team. He can play
His recklessness on a good team, particularly as a starter, is more a negative than a positive. Since nobody on the Bulls can create their own shot or wants to shoot anyways, it works, plus his intensity is infectious. When he was here in OKC, was when Maynor was still playing at a high level and there was no minutes for him other than in blowouts.

But everyone on the team loved him from what could be gathered and the fans too. He was hilarious. In fact, his hometown got sand in their vaginas about how much he was revered here and talked nice and he and his momma had to go on the radio/twitter and apologize.

And remember in NYK, he had that blowup with Pringles when he shot the ball at the wrong basket at/slightly after the buzzer

He is made to come off a bench and be a scoring/energy sparkplug.

TA's shooting isn't better than Iggy's though. Iggy's inconsistent with the burner, but what he did last night I don't think I've seen TA ever do. TA is a better free throw shooter though.
