What's evident about the LAC/Memphis series is that Blake is the type of dude who gets a max contract based on the amount of money he generates by being on the team, but he's not really the type of dude to win you a chip though. A player who commands that kind of contract (yet isn't actually elite) just prevents a team from being able to sign other valuable pieces. Deandre is horrible, but whatever, Clippers' front office has had their fun for a couple of years.

Yep I like Blake Griffin but I watch and I keep wanting more. He's not a All Star Starter type or USA Basketball roster type of player. Sometimes Im not even sure if Blake Griffin is a top 20 player.

It's funny how the CP3's teams get dominated and bounced early every year and he still gets a pass consistently. Everyone is to blame except for him.
He had 35 in game 5 & they were still beaten convincingly. 28 in this one & they were beaten convincingly.

This is one time where placing the blame elsewhere is completely legitimate.

Blake is their leading scorer & struggled when he was healthy & struggled even more after he hurt his ankle.

And Crawford has never been a reliable option in the playoffs.

there is no question Blake is not a top 20 player....

But it's not like Melo didn't play well when the Nuggets got bounced from the first round all those years. Those years Melo got bounced from the first round, he's had to go up against teams that won the NBA championship or played in the Finals. What's CP3's excuse?

CP3 get's a pass because he "makes his teammates better" I guess

NBA fans are ridiculous sometimes.

Put any other point guard on that team and they probably don't make the playoffs, the roster is a joke in a half court offense. He dropped 30 the other night, played well tonight and hit a game winner early in the series b. Blake and Jordan both played like trash, Blake has regressed since his rookie year, partly his fault and partly Del Negro's. Jordan would not be in the league if he wasn't such an athlete, he's not good at basketball. Now take no scoring/under developed big men and put it up against the 2nd best defense in the league and two of the most skilled bigs in the league.

Going to be interesting summer for LA on both teams

Griffin blows, ive been saying it and yet ive been called a hater

he cant do anything on offense...

?

Against the T Wolves he was 15 on 33% shooting.

Next year he was 19 on 42% shooting.

Year after that he was 21 on 33% shooting.

Year after that he was 27 on 48% shooting.

Year after that he was 23 on 36% shooting.

He finished with more turnovers than assists in all those series.

Then Billups came & they made a run.

Before Billups, he had 5 playoff runs & 5 first round exits. In 4 of those 5 series he struggled.

You're counting his rookie year?

Besides the Jazz series, Melo has played the Spurs and Lakers. Both teams either went to the NBA finals or Western Conference Finals. Those teams he faced were pretty good defensive teams as well.

Remember, Melo is a shooter. Perimeter shooters will have percentages like that, especially when they go up against great defensive teams.

150 combined weight between the two.

Won't Allen guard KD, tho?

allen, prince and Q will all 3 switch off on KD. Throwing good defenders his way, Allen will aggravate him, then throw Prince and Q's length.
About as good of defense as you will get on KD.

Durant will have his work cut out for him against the Grizzles.

Toney Allen, Prince and Pondexter are all great defenders. Wont be an easy series, to say the least. Ibaka and Perkins will have their work cut out for them as well. Randolph will bully Ibaka till submission. Marc Gasol will also have his way with Perkins. Marc Gasol is too finesse and agile for Perkins to stay in front of. Collison might have a better chance going up against Gasol.

I'm taking Memphis winning the series in 6.

Sorry to say this, but it looks like Durant will finish second again this year, but not in the NBA Finals. After this post season, we'll find out how much more Westbrook means to OKC than most people think.

I feel for KD man, it's going to be a long series with those 3 guys guarding him every night. Perkins is food for Gasol, Conley playing great, Z-Bo.

I like Memphis in 5

Ok. Excluding his rookie year, that's 3 out of 4 where he played poorly. His scoring regressed from the regular season in 3 of those 4 those first round exits

Main point being that you said he played well, when he was bricking a ton & had a negative assist to turnover ratio. He was certainly not playing well.

Westbrook lets KD be far more efficient/gets Ibaka involved on offense.

You can't replace 23,5,7 and his leadership, Durant is great but his game has been molded by playing with Russ, Memphis will force 4 or 5 TO's from him a game.

Fixed. Dude is terribly overrated. Been saying it since Day 1. He puts up nice a nice stat line, but it's really empty. He's a poor man's Shawn Kemp.

Never seen a player get a pass for team failures like CP3 does. If you don't wanna give him blame then don't call him elite plain and simple

it comes with his style of play (shout out to kobe is overrated thread), guys like CP3 kidd and nash can go about their career winning nothing and always coming up short but they will never get the blame. if you put a guy like tmac/kobe/iverson/melo in that same situation and it is 100% their fault

Disappointed the Clips are out. I thought they'd get past the first round. :smh:
Will Chris Paul and Billups bolt this offseason?
Not a single likeable guy on the Grizzlies. How can anyone like players like Tayshawn Prince, Zach Randolph, Mike Conley, Tony Allen...........

Except Stephen Curry
