Considering that no one will take Lin's salary... Rockets have $22mil between Harden & Lin.
I bet you the Raptors would

As for max contracts, I think it's more reasonable that CP3 and Dwight take a few mil pay cut as opposed to a huge one like what Bron, Wade, Bosh, etc. did.

They have no cap space, are a borderline tax team.. Also have Kyle Lowry. If they were to take him welcome the Andrea Bargnani era in Houston.

They would be taking a pay cut by signing for a different team. Asking them to take another pay cut on top of that would probably end the chance of getting either of them.

If the Bulls win tonight and Derrick Rose returns for the Heat series

But neither of those will probably happen.

Oh, and the Rockets don't need Dwight, they're good with Asik. They just need a PF and a solid Jarrett Jack-like starting point guard. Jack-Harden-Parsons-Aldridge-Asik would be perfect

a perfect 2k team i could do work with

the peak for that squad would b wcf in reality

**** Doesn't end.

Lets just make things really clear, now some of my fellow NY fans are getting delusional.

Chris Paul cannot go to the Knicks unless Amare retires or Amare is traded for future draft picks. No one wants Amare, no one.

Might as well start a Free-Agency thread with the details and specifics before this thread gets :rolleyes

Could keep Horford
whelp this needs to happen. horford goes back to the 4 his natural position , you got a 6th man in lou, and you could feel out the roster with shooters and siffs ala ivan johnson and korver

Would be a very intriguing team. But ATL is never really a place anyone gets excited to play for. Also I'm sure Dwight would only go to Atlanta if Josh Smith was staying.

I think CP3 stays, Dwight stays... And Josh Smith goes to Houston..

Hang in there buddy
IMO.... the way a Lakers fan act and a general NBA fan acts, is vastly different.

You guys expect greatness, not winning a title=failure, title or bust every damn season, all the good stuff, I get it.

But to me it basically means you guys have ridiculous expectation and standards.

In that same vein, with the Lakers fan's expectations, you guys have ridiculous expectations and 'hopes and dreams' with how yall throw out wild scenarios of wanting _______________ to happen. This goes on almost non stop.

"you guys think we can get Jameer Nelson or Ryan Anderson along with Dwight if we give them Steve Blake and Ron Artest"

"Pau Gasol for Love and Derrick Williams, do it Mitch"

those are real posts I've seen on NT... and I understand there are a few of you who don't throw **** out there like that all the time. But far more often than not, typical Lakers fan on NT and in realife, is just throwing **** at the wall waiting, praying, dreaming, hoping it sticks.

And in my eyes, thats not realistic and certainly not a realistic depiction of fans of other teams.

You seem like a NBA fan over a specific team. That's how I look at the NFL, I don't get emotionally evolved with a specific team and see that **** 20/20. But when it comes to my lakers ill make anything sound good but trust me I always pull myself back to reality unlike a lot of our fan base.
Dude, my team almost moved to Seattle...... I cried the final games of 2011 and 2013... I quietly wept in class on last Monday when I heard the unanimous vote to recommendation of the Kings staying.....

I'm emotionally involved in the Sacramento Kings.

i like the discussion in this thread and seeing knick and laker fans come up with reason why cp3 should leave 80-100 mil on the table. plus only one game on today

Amare might be coming back game 3. Lol don't let him play he'll just mess everything up like he always does

Pretty soon Laker fans are gonna say, so he doesn't leave money on the table do a sign a trade. Chris Paul and Ronny Turiaf for Steve Blake, Metta World Disater, Jodie Meeks, and goudelock. It's a pretty even trade and Steve Blake can help out immediately.
And they'll be dead *** serious too

Did you watch games 4, 5 and 6?

Things are already messed up.

Amare makes it worse, no defense and his offensive arsenal makes me cringe and he has hulk hogan knees.

I was the #1 dude saying shut Amare down, but the Cs exposed how weak this team is. He probably won't help, but there ain't much he could hurt that's much worse than Novak or Cope on defense. And knowing his pride, he's always a man possessed in the playoffs. Who knows. Right now it's Heat in 5, assuming we beat the Pacers.

Chris Paul cannot go to the Knicks unless Amare retires or Amare is traded for future draft picks. No one wants Amare, no one.

If you really wanna feed into the insanity...in some, twisted dark timeline...we trick MJ into taking Amare.

The Bobcats have enough capspace and then they'd have a "star." :nerd:

Somebody gonna take Lin, that's not that much of an issue with me. If he needs to be dumped he can be. They got their amnesty still? :nerd:

As for signing with them I'm only talking about one pay cuz so if walking cuts the year of money they would've got if they stayed with their teams then that's the only cut I'm talking about. After moving Lin you telling me Hou has no cap space for both of them?

If your contract was signed after the lockout, you can't be amniested.

And yeah, they used it on Scola already.

No one is taking Jeremy Lin.. If they did, you'd be getting back a contract or two.. For example, if you wanted to trade him to Toronto.. You would be taking back Bargnani. No one is taking on a 2 year $16mil Jeremy Lin just to have him. Especially a team like Toronto that would be a Luxury Tax team next year.

Trading Asik is much easier.. But with that.. Say you had Harden & Asik as opposed to Harden & Lin..It's the same thing. Every single $ (maybe with the exception of about $1-2mil) would have to be moved to get both of them.

I could see Lin in Milwaukee if both Jennings and Ellis leave
now that is a real possibility . Whats gonna happen to jennings and monta is intriguing , will monta accept his destiny as the sixth man of a playoff team and who's gonna want to pay jennings ?

i wonder if he'll take an o.j. type mayo deal
