All you saying it should be 2-0. Well guess what we live in this thing called the real world and in reality the series is tied 1-1.

Oh and by the way, after watching George Karl's speech.
I am no longer mad about him winning it and retract my previous angry rant.

Do i believe he deserves it? no.
But am i mad he won it? Not anymore.
The guy did better than i realized with no real star, and he has been through a lot in life.
Respect.

You mean you might have overreacted?

We are all shocked.

 gimme a break J, I had too much coffee in my system this morning making me act a little out of character, even at work.
At least I'm admitting I overreacted. :wow:

I'll make sure it doesn't happen again

Still have no idea how anyone can say GK isn't deserving of the the coy award. 57 wins without an all NBA performer and a top 3 seed in the competitive western conference. How does that not equate to COY?

THIS
dudes always point to his lack of success in the playoffs.
seriously, before the season nobody would have thought they would be a top 3 team in the west. sure, they pushed the lakers to 7 prior, but everyone had lak, sa, okc, lac, memphis all ahead of them.
they overcome a very slow start from lawson, trying to figure out what iggy's role was, chandlers injury, waiting on javele to be consistent. no way would you think they would pull out 57 wins.

Mark Jackson took a team that wasnt projected to make the playoffs to the playoffs. That is more of an uphill climb than what George Karl or anyone else did. He should have been CotY

I understand these things, but everyone knew Denver was going to be good this year. They pushed the lakers last year and they are always good at home.

I would have voted for mark Jackson. GS had 3 rookies playing heavy minutes throughout the season. People are now seeing that they are a good defensive team which rarely happens in Oakland. The warriors would run through a wall for mark Jackson

Karl took a team that could have been a fringe playoff team and ended up 3rd in the conference with no All-NBA players or All-Stars.

It's the same thing as the MVP argument... it's all relative. Making or missing out on the playoffs shouldn't be the most important factor.

as a w's fan, i thought mark jackson shouldve finished a little higher. i also thought they would be a playoff team, a 7/8th prior to the season.
but you can also say kevin mchale was more deserving than mark jackson. the rockets were like a couple gms off of the w's and they over achieved with the youngest and least experienced team.

So because Marc Jackson is deserving, that means GK isn't? Also, by this logic Kevin Mchale is every bit the COY candidate as Marc Jackson.

The whip is a running joke since they talked about Django and called Chuck "Stephen" and they've been joking that Ernie is the "boss"... so they crack the whip

What's the story behind this whip??

Every Inside, they would cover the next day's games in a segment known as the whip around. They would whip around the playoffs and cover the series that were to be played the next day. Ernie + Doing the "Whip Around" + Plus the sound effect of a whip = Laughs. Ernie a white guy handling "The Whip."
