I actually like the amount of red and white used on the shoe. I think too much white would have been overkill, especially since my cleats get thrashed. If itwere strictly a PE for Pujols, I would agree with you 100%.

Both are very nice IMO. www.dickssportinggoods.com also has a FSR of ARods shox cleats from last year in 3 different colorways.

Still, I think Jimmy Rollins' PE is way better than any of these.

Nice heads-up with the Huarache 2K5's, by the way... those are pretty nice. And I'm sure you already knew this, but there's some nice new 2K4colorways up on Eastbay, too:

I miss that style of the clippers! The past few years don't look right to me. They have a ton on sale on eastbay for $30 and I can't even bring myselfto get a pair.

I have some Kazuhiro Sasaki PE Clippers in that style (Nomo pic). From the 2001 Seattle All-Star game. I'll post pics when I get home. I know it's not'06 but they're pretty cool.

Here's my pair (not a PE, just my gamers that I picked up a few years ago):

An all-time classic of Nike Baseball, in my opinion. I'd occasionally bust them out in games all the way through '05, just because it's a sucha timeless cleat.

I did get them at sports authority. The only place I know that have this particular color scheme.

Here's an interesting non-Nike baseball cleat news item...

Back when he was a Yankee, Gary Sheffield was one of the first guys to rock the Huarache 2K4, and did so until his tenure in New York ended. Last year Inoticed him wearing something different, but because his shoes were always mostly covered by his pants, I could never identify them...

But I did notice a little logo on some of his gear--particularly his wristbands. In the photo below, you'll see something that looked like an"S" or a "3"...

I figured it was some kind of signature logo, but it turns out its a signature company. It's called GS3, and even though there's apparently absolutelynothing on the internet about this brand, I found an auction for a pair of his game-used cleats that confirms it. Here are the pics of the one colorway of hissig (from that auction):

It's also what his Tigers teammate Carlos Guillen was wearing through parts of last season, and both him and Sheffield have been wearing the same model sofar this spring. So that's that... a few of you may have known about this, but I'm sure this was news to most of you (as it was to me).

(And the cleats above are average-looking at best, in my opinion... I can see why he'd want to cover them up with his pants. But the all-black version isdecent.)

EDIT: The brand name is actually SG3 (not GS3, as stated in the auction for these cleats).

The Sheff cleats are being made in factories specifically for him. They will never be sold at retail.

Vernon Wells Shox Fuse PE

Pujols 5-Tool MCS (and these could definitely use some white in the heel of the upper)

Ramon Hernandez Air Monster (not Shox... and interesting that they're white/orange, since the O's are supposed to wear black/orange cleats)

Manny Ramirez Shox Fuse (not a PE... disappointing considering he had one of the sweetest 5-Tool PE's last fall. But then again, Manny was wearing whitefootball cleats this time last year, so who knows what else he'll try out this season)

Lastings Milledge wearing GS3's... is he boys with Sheffield now?

100% I agree w/ you Marky about Pujols PE's. But since he can get a new pair whenever and mine is supposed to last a whole season, I will stickwith my statement.

I LOVE Vernon Wells Shox. I'm not a fan of shox for cleats either, but those are very impressive.

Good find on the Sheffield PE's. I always thought he was wearing Verdero cleats. BTW, mhsrunner09, very good call! The look identical
