FCA NER New England Challenge Rally McLaren F1 driven through Middlebury...:

Used to drive over this road everyday in Vermont... Hit and killed a moose on this road... So many frost heaves have pimpled and indented this road... I would bounce up and down in my Cherokee hauling ***...

I can't believe someone drive an F1 in the rain on this road... I want to shake the hand of the man driving and then slap him across his face...

I started with the D40, but kinda wanted to switch to Canon cuz the D40 body didn't have an autofocus motor... meaning I had to get lenses with an AF motor if I wanted to use AF.  One of those annoying issues.  I also liked Canon's cool grey lenses... LOL.  Ultimately I stuck with Nikon cuz I also had an 18-200 3.6-5.6 and didn't want to waste the lens.  Been pretty happy with the D7000, it must be said.

In terms of glass, in addition to the 18-200, I also have a 35 1.8, which I use a lot.  I REALLY want a 24-70 2.8, but it's $$$ and heavy as hell.  Can't really justify the investment right now!

If you're planning on making the switch to full frame I wouldn't suggest getting anymore lenses unless you're switching to full frame with Nikon. It's expensive but canon's entry level full frame are going down in price and there's also mirror less camera's now that have great potential. Do you have a flickr account btw?

Okay back to the cars

^ Yeah... if I'm going to full-frame, I'll probably still stick with Nikon.  I have a Flickr account, but I only use it to host photos of shoes, cars and whatnot for when I post pics on NT.  I've only posted a few of my pics on there.

Anyway.

A great series...

Wow I didn't know there was someone out there that owned all three hypercars. The best of all three worlds. Must be a tough decision deciding which one to drive each morning.

Using the P1 to pick up the LaFerrari and then both to pick up the 918 Spyder. This man has done it right. #Golfclap

The carbon finishes and alcantara interior he had done to is LaFerrari are just beautiful.

Remember Briton Paul Bailey who used a McLaren P1 to first pick up a Ferrari LaFerrari and then, together with his wife, drive over to pick up a Porsche 918 Spyder as well, completing the hypercar Trifecta in the process.

Well, he’s the star of a new video from SupercarDRIVER which was filmed on the day that he picked up the cars and includes some excellent commentary about the excitement of taking delivery of such fine pieces of machinery as well as the feeling of being behind the wheel.

In case you were wondering, Bailey and his wife were the owners of a communications company that they sold for over $40 million. Since then, he’s been expanding his fleet of supercars and doing his best to share them with the world in videos like these. Bailey is also a member of a group that raffles off rides in his cars, and the money supports worthy causes.

A lower-powered model? Is that because traffic is so bad in some of the major cities that people don't really get to run up the RPMs?

I was reading on another forum, a guy from Singapore was complaining that with his and his friends Ferrari's they basically have nowhere to drive them in the day to really enjoy their power.

Oooooo I like the sound of this.

Road Legal McLaren P1 GTR Confirmed

1000

"Sources say the Hampshire-based firm, Lanzante, which is renowned for its work on customer McLaren F1s, has decided to undertake the conversion work following the level of demand from customers who have bought the track-only version of the P1 GTR from the factory.More than 40 £1.98m P1 GTRs were sold, with the cars being offered to existing P1 road car owners only. The track car has a kerb weight of 1440kg, giving it around 685bhp per tonne.
Although Autocar is awaiting confirmation from Lanzante, reports suggest that the converted P1 GTRs will initially be homologated for European and Middle Eastern road regulations and that conversions to meet requirements in other parts of the world are being investigated. It is not yet clear what modifications need to be made to make the cars road legal.
Neither the McLaren factory nor its MSO division is directly involved but it is believed to have given the project its blessing and will co-operate with Lanzante to help ensure its success.
Reports have already suggested that the next generation, factory-developed P1 could be track-only as a result of tightening regulations restricting what’s possible for road-legal vehicles.

However, a final decision on the direction of the next P1 remains some way off. McLaren chief executive Mike Flewitt has already stated that the firm won’t replace the current car until technological advances allow McLaren to make a significant step forwards in terms of performance.
As such, the next generation P1 is likely to centre on hybrid powertrain developments and is believed to be at least a decade from production."

^^Haha P1 GTR might be a stretch. I think it could be the 650s but I didn't see them on the entry list. On another note my local McLaren dealership got the P1GTR and 675LT that's been making round across the US. Stopping my for my daily dosage of car pron and I can't wait!!!!

Will post pics of course

Stopped by today and man do I love this place. Had the P1, 675LT, a bunch of 12c's, and 2 P1's. They're selling 1 P1 that has only 699 miles on it!! Not sure how the owner can let it go with only that many miles on it but is the price for a P1 1.3? Not sure if this one was MSO but the paint on it is a satin finish which was interesting since I've never seen that before. All in all it was a good 2 hours spent. Will edit the pics and post them on here and ig next weekend once finals is over.

Now for the car pron
