Only reason I think, it would be because it's "the shoe" of the transition from cleveland to south beach.

But even that, IMO it will never be a classic like alot of jordan out there (think about it, there is A LOT of JB classics)
 
Lebrons aren't even as recognizable as Jordans. This is a no contest call. I don't know that any Lebron's can be considered iconic. Have any of them been showcased in films? No. I'm sure there are countless other arguments that I don't feel like thinking about. Only sneaker heads go crazy for Brons imo.

I'm not saying the Lebron's are better than Jordans. Whoever thinks that is an idiot....nuff said. Jordan is a brand, while Lebron is still a Nike shoe.

But yes the SB8's are dope, and they will be a consider a classic down the road, it's a great design, colorway, the decision and the impact it made etc

People just don't understand what the meaning of classic is. To these guys every Xmas and asg lebron, kobe and kd are classics. A true classic is a shoe universally known. Grandmamas know what the old air Jordan's are

I couldn't walk into Footlocker and show you what lebrons were without the label underneath of it.


lebrons are far from iconic. just cause you reall ylike a shoe isn't going to change this fact.

Get real bruh. SOOOOOO many movies. Worn by all races, and cultures. ALL. Ever since the 80's.

Im a OG sneakerhead, and Im sure I couldn't put the correct number to the Lebron model in order if you paid me.

And I own a few pairs of lebrons.

I could name EVERY jordan colorway in every model EASILY.
 
Hard to say, although the demand is increasing more and more, it will take many more NBA seasons. It will also take a bit more than some nice colourways of a pretty redundant style of shoe.
 
I personally think lebrons are ugly. They look too bulky and boot like. Something boppers and youngins like to wear casually. Only bball shoe I can consider pass for casuals are jordans. They had designs and looks that are unmatchable. Jordan had a mind like tinker to help his line. Lebron doesn't.

No. Shoes dont compare and neither does the player. Mike flew through the air with the dopest sneakers and mesmorized all of us from basketball fans to casuals. Lebron has....??? :rolleyes
 
This new generation is clueless. Kids want jordans but want to pay waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay low.

I posted some vvvvvnds blk/met. gold 1s, asked $200, kept getting offers of $50-$80. Trying to tell me its not worth that much.

Game is taking a turn but this is expected.
 
I think evebtually lebrons will get to that iconic stature. Things working against lbj right now:

1) cleveland era and wearing the #23
- Jordan never switched teams during his iconic days j1-j14. And switched #s only temporarily
2) lbj+23 logo on those earlier models lebron?? to lebon?? (not iconic -case in point bc i dont know the models and would have to look them up)
- jordan logo changed after 2 models wings to jumpman. Lebron now has the crownLJ and the dunkman
3) lebron just won his first title on shoe #9
- jordan won on shoe 6 but had other moments....
4) lebron refuses to win a slam dunk contest
- this creates an iconic moment
-jordan won in j3s and then u get an 88 3 retro
 
Lebron still has many more years to create iconic moments and sneaker models that will capture our attention.

My big question (all opinions welcome)... Do yall think he can carry his own brand like jordan where everything is represented sans nike? Or maybe less extreme, do yall think that a lebron with no nike branding is in his future?
 
Lebrons dont even have a fair chance. Jordans will always be on top. What mike did to the shoe game cannot be replicated. My lil homeboy, born in like 93, thinks brons will be as popular or more popular. No way.
 
To me, the unique designs of Jordan's alone put them >>>>> Lebron's. I don't like Jordan's because they are Jordan's, I like the OG's because they have some of the best designs when it comes to a bball shoe. I just have never really cared for any of the Lebrons.

I think these xi's are something that i'll have to see in person. They dont look bad but im on the fence. It also looks like the swoosh is forced on there like it could go without the side swoosh
