iPad Mini Thread vol. Every Inch an iPad

Are you guys going to put screen protectors on it? I tried putting one on my ipad 2 and couldn't get the air bubbles out so I took it off. Both my tablets don't have protectors and the screens look so dirty :smh:.

I may. I'm going to keep it in a sleeve but it will be my bedtime device as well. Hairline scratches can form anywhere.

I am. What I normally do is get the ones that they sell on Amazon. Maybe like a 3-pack clear for cheap so that way if one messes up I can use another one. I can't fade paying retail for an iPad screen when bubbles are more prevalent with the iPads :smh:

Something like this:
Amazon product ASIN B005972X3Q

I had an iPad 2 and liked it. I ended up selling it and using that money grab a Nexus 7. Long story short, one of my friends owed me some money, so I traded him the Nexus 7 and got his iPad 3. I flipped that and grabbed the iPad Mini. Once I went to the Nexus 7, the iPad 3 was just too big and heavy for me to casually hold it. Also, the size of the iPad Mini is perfect for holding and playing games on. I can actually play Modern Combat/Dead Trigger/etc on it comfortably without stretching my hand over it.

For now I just have a sleeve for it to go into and but a full body protector on it. I will post pics of it when I get home, but I bought this one...Skinomi Body Protector. I really like it, and don't have to worry about it getting scratched by something randomly anymore. They also normally come with a voucher on the inside where you call or email them and they will send you another full body protector for free as long as you write a review on their product for them. I have it on my iPhone 5 and I am very pleased with them. The only thing is that with some of those exact cases, it adds a little bit too much to them, so the fit may be a little off.

I also grabbed a red and black version of this case as well...SLIMLINE Case. It is basically a smart cover with a hardened back on it. I prefer these as opposed to a full out "padfolio case" because they make it too bulky. I def would/will buy one next year when I am sure they will have a retina version of it coming out some time. Definitely more portable than a standard iPad.

IPAD 3 OWNERs, In your eyes,

Besides the A6 chip, is there any difference between the IPAD 3 and the IPAD 4?

Target is also worth a shot.

Also check Wal-Mart. I got mine there (16gb black).

I got mine last Saturday and they still had 5 16gb left. The couple Wal-Marts I went to didn't even know they had them or thought that they and the iPad 4 were the same product, lol

The Best Buy around me only had a white 32gb and a couple 64gb left.

they are calling it ipad 4 just because of the connector change? :x

Believe a connector change and the processor is now an A6 instead of an A5x. That is about it.

Can't even buy a iPad 3 anymore. Just a 2, mini, or 4 aka "3s"

Finally got to hit the Apple Store by me today and check out the Mini in person. Using it for about 10 mins then going to the iPad its funny how "heavy" the normal one felt, but honestly I really liked it....the lack of retina imo wasn't noticable really unless I put it right next to the iPad and zoomed in on the text with a book open on a certain page, speed wise they seemed very comparable, I tried a couple games, loading youtube vids, general apps, etc. and they seemed equally responsive....I probably would have bought it but I just can't justify a $329 purchase for something I simply want right now (really close to 400 when you factor in the case, adapter, and AppleCare)....I really think its a perfect size though and maybe once next semester hits I'll cop the black one but I definitely prefer the Mini over the full size iPad after using them in person for about 10-15mins :smokin

Cancelled my AT&T preorder and picked up a Verizon 16GB Black at Best Buy.

Loving this thing.

For those looking for a case, try out the Neoprene Case for Nook Tablet. Pretty much fits the mini perfectly.

I know this thread is ipad mini related but i just copped a refurbished ipad 3 off the apple store as a christmas gift to my parents. Anyone know where to get smart covers for less than retail? Pretty expensive on the apple site, if not any other good recommendations as far as cases go? Also, any recommendations on a cable for hooking up an ipad to a TV? Guessing just a regular 30 pin connector to HDMI but i don't even know if apple makes such a thing. Thanks.

Best Buy may be selling the iPad Smart Cover at a discount. I believe they have a bundle that includes a stylus and possibly a screen protector at a decent price.

Real spit. This should have been the original iPad. Definitely don't notice the lack of retina all that much. Don't know what the big fuss is about.

Initially wanted a white but settled on black. Not really that big of a difference, IMO.
