With Dwyane Wade reportedly moving on to another shoe company, Jordan Brand had an opening on it's roster. Enter Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.

The Charlotte Bobcats first round pick and Kentucky standout made it official earlier today on Twitter and instagram.

"“Dear to be Great” Happy to be apart of The Brand Jordan Family!!!"

I wouldn't compare him to Wade, because he's not going to have his own sneaker.

He'll be like DJ Augustine and Gerald Henderson, but probably a bigger contract since he's a higher pick.

They're also negotiating with Kendall Marshall. Which makes sense, not only did he go to UNC, but he's a sneakerhead who was buying Jordan's already.

The current Jordan Brand roster (basketball) after the first 5 or 6 guys isn't very impressive and D-Wade is already on the way out . . .

being on Jordan brand isnt as cool as it once was. The only perk is getting tons of free retros but then again you could get them if your signed with Nike soooo nevermind its not cool.

plus Jordan needs to do away with sigs, been saying this since the melo 1.5's. waste of time/money/materials.

It could still be, it's just that have older players like Bibby, Joe Johnson and Q up there. Besides Joe Johnson and Ray Allen, you don't even see their PE's anymore because they're mainly on the bench.

That's why I've been saying they need to get a younger crop, since the group from the 90's are either out or on their way.

Look at the coverage that Nate and JR get.

With the amount of blogs, sneaker sites and message boards displaying pics it can be bigger than it once was, but of course they don't really need it because JB sells out anyway [shrug]

that's definitely weak, injury prone bench players !!! i used to love Kevin Mart but since he got traded to Houston just became soft all of the sudden...
 
I am sure JB was very happy that the first thing he said was dear and not dare....Guess he could have used a couple more English classes at UK

Im surprised that they signed him out of all the rookies. They should of signed Austin Rivers IMO.
